Yvette remained unfazed. "Follow my lead."
"Got it, Ms. Murray." Miguel nodded.
"Turn up ahead," she directed him methodically. "Take the right alley and floor it."
"We've lost them!" Miguel looked at her with admiration. "Ms. Murray, you're incredible!"
Yvette lazily raised her finely shaped eyebrows, not bothering to reply. If she couldn't shake off a bunch of goons, then she'd have no future in this line of work.
She pulled out a map from her pocket and glanced at the highlighted areas, a cold smile curling her lips.
Her final target was the Shadow Alliance's most crucial dock, a key shipping route for their goods. Destroying it would be like taking a hefty chunk out of that dumbass boss of the Shadow Alliance.
It would surely infuriate him!
…
Samuel walked in with a nervous expression, lowering his head as he reported to Wilson in Jubilife. "Mr. Quinn… We just received news from Yenosha that Kaiser Casino has been destroyed!
"The explosives at the Kaiser Casino were the same as those at the arms factory yesterday. So the person responsible for both attacks must be the same."
As those words left Samuel's lips, Wilson's eyes narrowed dangerously, his voice icy. "Have they captured the person responsible?"
Samuel felt the temperature in the room drop even further. He lowered his head even more as he mustered the courage to respond, "No, Mr. Quinn, they let him slip away again…"
"Ha!" Wilson scoffed, his expression icy. He exuded an oppressive air.
Those familiar with him knew he was furious.
Wilson lazily raised an eyebrow and replied slowly, "I'm just going to Yenosha to handle some matters, so I have to leave Jubilife. Yvie will understand."
He was going to Yenosha for business, not just for Yvette, so even if she found out he was there, she wouldn't have any reason to be angry!
Samuel was silent.
Did Wilson really think anyone would believe that?
However, with Wilson taking matters into his own hands, he would certainly capture the person responsible for destroying the Shadow Alliance's arms factory and casino!
Thinking about how he'd soon see Yvette lightened Wilson's mood, and he said in a deep voice, "Go prepare. Move quickly."
After dealing with that reckless fool, he was eager to see Yvette!
