As a police captain, Chad was naturally observant, and his first instinct upon walking through the door was always to scan the room for his wife and son. Only after seeing them would he relax and chat with his family. If they weren't around, his first question was always, "Where are Molly and Wayne?"
Wayne was still staring, waiting for his dad to come over. Chad smiled, tossed his keys on the entryway table, and strode straight toward them.
Before Chad even reached him, Wayne was already reaching out his chubby little arms, giggling happily.
Chad scooped him up high into the air, making Wayne kick his little legs in sheer excitement. "Daddy!"
"What did you play with at home today?"
Chad sat down next to his wife, chatting with his son for a moment before Molly turned her back to him. "Chad, help me unhook my necklace."
Chad set Wayne on his lap and reached up to unfasten the delicate clasp.
Kendrick hung up his coat and walked over, happily scooping his grandson out of Chad's lap to play with him.
The vain heiress immediately started bragging again. "Chad, people today didn't even believe I was married with a kid. They even wanted me to be a runway model."
Chad carefully removed the jewelry from her neck. "Next time, take Wayne with you."
Molly nodded vigorously in agreement. "That's exactly what I was thinking."
The police captain looked at his endearingly silly wife and chuckled. Later that night, they tucked Wayne into his bed in the nursery. Back in their room, the sly Chad traced the curves of his wife's figure. "Let me see just how amazing your figure really is."
Molly's dress had already slipped far from its original place. She turned around, meeting her husband's dark, intensely passionate gaze. "Chad, are you sure you're only going to look?"
The corner of his lips curled into a smirk, and the next second, he began leaving his mark all over her.
Two rounds later, Molly was panting heavily, desperately trying to catch her breath. Her energy was completely depleted as she listened to Chad whisper in her ear, praising her stunning curves and confessing how she made him lose all self-control.
Molly shook her head against the pillows. "Tomorrow, I'm going to eat like a pig so you'll lose your appetite just looking at me."
Chad let out a low laugh, his index finger gently brushing her cheek. "You'd better swap out that face while you're at it, because even if you were a pig, I still wouldn't be able to resist you."
Molly shrugged playfully. "Ugh, Officer Chad, you have some heavy tastes."
