Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1910

"Where are we going?" Henry asked.

Mia coaxed him. "Let's go inside, and I'll tell you all about it."

As Mia dragged her son indoors, Molly held Wayne and instructed the maid, "Hurry up and shovel that snow out of here."

Wayne heard this and yelled at the top of his lungs, "Brother! The snow is gone!"

Wayne promptly received a spanking right there in the yard.

Wayne lowered his head, biting his lip. His chubby little face looked up at his mother with utter, heartbreaking betrayal.

Molly picked him up. "Who do you love more? Me, or your brother?"

Wayne just burst into tears again.

Hansen, his face still throbbing in pain, stormed out of the house. "Molly! Are you terrorizing my grandson again?!"

He hurried over, looking at the pitifully crying boy. Despite his own pain, he scooped Wayne into a protective hug. "There, there, sweetheart. Don't cry. Grandpa's got you. We don't need your mom."

Still sobbing, Wayne was carried back to the bedroom by his grandfather.

Molly stood there in disbelief, staring down at her own hand. "Wow, am I secretly a superhero? I barely tapped him, and he cried that hard?"

That evening, when Chad got home from work, Molly smacked him right on the back. Chad looked at her, utterly bewildered. "?"

"Chad, did that hurt?"

Chad looked over at the coffee table, where his son was standing, staring up at him.

Wayne was furiously giving his dad a pointed look.

Officer Chad cleared his throat. "...A little."

Molly stared at her palm in sheer awe. "Oh my god, Mia! I have super strength!"

She marched over to her best friend and slapped her on the back. "Did that hurt?"

Mia blinked. "...Yes, it hurt." She felt absolutely zero guilt about throwing her friend under the bus.
