Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1790

At the airport, Abby stepped off the plane, moving slowly, nerves written all over her face. She spotted her ex-husband waiting, awkward but hopeful, holding a bouquet of flowers. Abby had spent the whole flight anxious—checking her makeup in the bathroom, weighing herself in secret, terrified she’d gotten older or put on a few pounds, or just wasn’t as pretty as she used to be.

But the moment their eyes met, all that worry vanished. Nothing mattered except the tears shining in both their eyes.

After a long, breathless kiss, Milka pulled away, panting. She fished a tissue from her bag and gently wiped the lipstick off Mars’s mouth.

“Milka, will you marry me?” Mars blurted out.

Milka froze, her hand still on his lips. She looked up, meeting his gaze without a hint of hesitation. “Yes,” she said, her voice steady and sure. “Mars, I’ve always wanted to marry you.”

Mars tried to sneak another kiss, but Milka just laughed and lightly pushed him away. “Easy there, let me finish cleaning you up! We’re about to see my parents, remember?”

When she was done, Milka took out her compact for a quick touch-up, then she and Mars bent down to peek outside.

Sure enough, Abby had the flowers in her hands now.

The two of them wandered through the airport, looking around.

Mars squeezed Milka’s hand. “Come on, your parents are looking for us.”

As they walked out, Mars greeted Abby with a bright, “Welcome home, Auntie.”

Privately, he always called her “Mom,” but in front of her, he kept it proper—Abby would think he was getting too familiar otherwise.

Once Abby was settled at the Solomon house, Leah called, barely able to contain her excitement. “Hey, Luke, your sister-in-law’s back, right? Are you guys free? White and I want to come over!” When it came to her son’s wedding, there was no time to lose.

Mars ducked away to call his own mom. “Mom, I’m even more anxious than you. But today’s not the day,” he said. The couple had just reunited—everything else could wait.

With her mom finally home, Milka felt safe again. She quietly slipped out, giving her parents space in the living room to talk.

Mars tugged Milka’s hand, grinning. “Wanna come to the townhouse with me?”

Milka blushed. “Nope.”

“I won’t stay long.”
