Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1716

Downtown streets.

The three of them made a break for it. “Chad, trust me, I know my family inside out. No one ever gives in, and the next thing you know, they’ll be dragging Henry and sweetie into the debate over who gets to sleep with whom tonight. Wayne? He’s obsessed with his sister—no way is she letting her son out of her sight, and Wayne’s not about to go bunk with his uncle and aunt.

Even if we all crammed into one room, I’d be hopelessly outnumbered. Naomi and Dad would both show up to compete with me. I’d stand no chance.”

So, the three of them snuck off to the Byrnes’ place. As soon as they got home, Jade dropped a message in the family group chat: “Safe and sound.”

Hansen jabbed at his phone and let out a frustrated yell. “See? Told you—Molly again!”

Just like Jade guessed, Andre finally put his foot down. “Henry’s with Mia and me tonight. No arguments.”

Late that night, Henry was snuggled under the covers, head resting on his mom’s arm, chattering away about anything and everything—his little mind bouncing from one random thought to the next.

Neither parent could keep up, but they still chimed in to every comment.

“Sweetie, are you going back there again tomorrow?”

“Yep. You’re officially a little scholar now.”

“What about you, Mommy?” Henry turned his cute face up to her.

“Mommy’s going to school too. When I get out, I’ll come pick you up, okay? If you miss me, I’ll come find you. Our schools are super close.”

Henry beamed. “Then I won’t be sad at all~”

Then he looked over at his handsome dad. “Daddy, are you taking your big sweetie and little sweetie to school tomorrow?”

With both his treasures snuggled up beside him, Andre felt like even his dreams were filled with sugar.

“Daddy’s taking both his little scholars to school.”

Andre reached out and ruffled their hair. “It’s late now—time to sleep. You both have school in the morning.”

The next day was already miles better than the last. Mia even called her son, “Hey, sweetie!”

Henry pressed the phone to his ear with his tiny arm. “Mommy, do you miss your sweetie~”

“I do! Mommy misses you so much. Did you eat?”

“I did! Sweetie finished everything again!”

After they hung up, Andre called them both separately.

“I just talked to our son,” Mia told him.

When Henry picked up Andre’s call, he said, “Daddy, Mommy already called sweetie.”

Henry talked about “Mommy” so much that his classmates and teachers couldn’t help but ask, “Who’s Mommy? Where is she?”
