Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1701

Soon enough, Andre called out, “Henry, come let your mom have a turn.”

Henry sighed, clearly worried his mom might take a tumble. He lifted his little hand and said, “Alright, but you have to hold Mom’s hand.”

It was a warm summer night in the park. People were trickling home, while this little family of three practically owned the whole path.

Andre was on the left, Henry on the right, each gripping one of Mia’s hands—though she definitely leaned more on Andre’s side. Father and son steadied Mia as she tried her luck at skateboarding.

Henry made a valiant effort to teach his mom some moves, but when she just couldn’t get it, he finally burst out in his sweet baby voice, “Mom, you’re such a goofball~”

Mia stood on the skateboard, only moving because her husband held her steady and gave her gentle pushes.

Henry watched his mom with a tiny frown, his face full of concern.

On the drive home that night, Henry sat in the backseat, clutching Mia’s phone, ready to tattle to Cooper. “Cooper, you need to come back and teach Mom. I tried, but she just can’t do it—she’s a total goofball~”

Mia reached back to pinch her son’s chubby cheeks. “And who, exactly, are you calling a goofball?”

Henry turned back to the phone, grumbling, “Cooper, Mom’s teasing me again~”

A second later, Kristen’s cheerful voice piped up, “Honey, did you miss Kristen?”

“I did! Kristen, come play with me,” Henry chirped, all sweetness.

Once they got home and took their baths, Henry—wearing nothing but his little shorts and not a bit shy—insisted on wiping down his scooter all by himself, with his parents watching. He dashed barefoot into his playroom to put his toys back where they belonged, then scampered back to the bedroom, waiting for his parents to tuck him in.

The night grew deep and quiet. After their time together, Andre finally voiced his curiosity, pulling his sleepy wife close. “Mia, what made you suddenly decide to tell me about what you did the other day?”

“I did.”

“Leave the rest to me!” Mia huffed, her cheeks puffed out in anger. “How could I possibly have someone else? I love you to death. You’re the only one I want, the only one I see, the only one in my whole life. Not even Henry comes close! He says that nonsense again and I’ll finish the job myself!”

“So you’ve really thought about divorcing me?” Andre’s gaze softened, but his eyes still searched hers.

Mia swallowed again, looking anywhere but at her husband. “It was just… some silly, impossible daydream when I was bored… mmph—honey, I’m sorry, mmph~”

That night, Mia barely got any rest.

It was like being swept up by wave after wave, her breathing completely out of her control.

By the next day, it was clear she’d be sleeping in. Sure enough, at one in the afternoon, Henry showed up at her bedside, hugging a watermelon. “Mom, sleepyhead, time to get up~”
