Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1672

Milka arched an eyebrow. With the sweet, straightforward girl in front of her, she didn’t overthink it and just nodded. “Sure.”

Anya lit up with excitement. Back home, she started scheming with Leo. “Chad, when do you think I should ask Milka out?”

“It was those two troublemakers who put you up to this, wasn’t it?” Leo slipped on his house slippers, crouched down by the front door, and started polishing his shoes.

When he finished, he lined up the shoes neatly—his polished oxfords right next to Anya’s well-loved canvas sneakers. He paused for a second, admiring the neat row, feeling oddly satisfied.

“Yeah. Aunt just wants to make more friends, and Auntie’s bored at home. They both love to gossip, and the two little ones are just the cutest.”

Leo stood up and tugged his little shadow along with him as he headed to the bathroom to wash his hands. “Let’s set it for Sunday night. We’ll drive back from Willowtown in the morning, get home by lunchtime, rest in the afternoon, and when it cools off, you two can go out for dinner. Aunt Milka’s off on Sundays, those two have plenty of free time, and I’ll swing by the studio for some overtime. On my way home, I’ll pick you up.”

Anya listened to the plan, not needing to think at all. “Chad, I’m so bad at planning~”

Leo just smiled. “No need. Just go with the flow.”

He settled onto the couch, his little sidekick following him into the living room.

Leo grabbed an apple from the table, took a crunchy bite, and switched on the TV for the evening news.

Anya followed, cuddled up to Leo, took a playful bite from his apple, and handed it back. “Chad, how come you’re home so early today?”

Leo glanced over, answering casually, “Wasn’t busy. Wanted to spend some time with you.”

Anya pouted a little, “Oh.”

She tilted her head, already drifting off in thought about what to make for dinner.

Before long, Anya called out, “Chad, dinner’s ready!”

Leo nodded and wrapped up his call with Chunky. “Alright, let’s leave it there for now. We’ll talk more when I’m at the office tomorrow.”

He hung up and joined her. Anya grinned, then dashed back to the kitchen to bring out her homemade spicy chicken salad. “Chad, it’s my first time making this! You have to try it and tell me how it tastes!”

Leo sat down and picked up his chopsticks. “Let me take a picture and send it to those two—they’ll be so jealous.”

A minute later, Leo dropped the photos into the Cedillo family group chat.

Henry stood on tiptoe, craning his neck to see what was on his mom’s phone.

When he spotted the pictures, he licked his lips and looked up, eyes wide and sparkling. “Where? Are you making food for them too?”
