Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1607

She slipped off her shoes and crawled right into their son’s bed, pulling the covers over herself. “Babe, I think I’ve figured it out—Cooper must’ve hit his girlfriend. I’ll call him tomorrow morning after I wake up. If he keeps this up, he’ll never land a wife.”

Henry wiggled closer, his little arms hugging her neck. “Mom, are you sleeping with me tonight?”

“Of course, honey. I’m here to snuggle you to sleep, right in Mommy’s arms.”

The three of them lay together, chatting away, laughter echoing softly around the room.

They planned a weekend trip to the aquarium.

Mia texted Molly: “Bring your kid and join us?”

Molly messaged back, “Mia, I can’t. I’ve got to go to a gala with my mom on Saturday.”

Chad was tied up that weekend too, so it ended up just the three of them heading to the aquarium.

At the show, Henry sat between his parents, eyes shining, clapping like the world’s biggest fan. He zipped around inside the exhibits, grilling them with endless questions as he stared at the jellyfish—curious as ever.

When they reached the big display, Mia scooped Henry up while Andre snapped a photo of the two.

A snapshot from their trip ended up online—instantly sparking another round of buzz.

The comments poured in, and some people even brought up the time they were spotted watching a Lantern Festival show together in Newtown.

Gossip reports flew around like confetti, but just as quickly, most got taken down.

Henry’s face was always hidden, but people still loved talking about how chubby and cute he’d been as a baby. Those baby pictures were everyone’s favorite throwback.

Chad was always busy, never really getting a chance to take Molly and their son out for a proper family day.

But that night, when he got home, his son was waiting at the door, grinning and bouncing on his toes, arms wide for a hug.

During dinner, Chad asked, “Mom, does Molly have any vacation coming up?”

Coleen Byrne shot her daughter a look. “Let her answer.”

“I’m bold every day!” she laughed.

Every day felt like a holiday to her.

So Jade finally set off on a trip.

“You’re bringing Wayne too?” Mia gawked. “You sure you can handle him?”

Molly grinned. “Hey, maybe I can’t, but that’s what Chad’s for. Two adults—we can totally handle one little rascal.”

Wayne fell asleep in the back seat again. Chad drove down the highway, and every time they stopped at a rest area, he’d open the back door and look at their son’s sweet, sleepy face.

“Hey, buddy, time to wake up and eat,” Chad called softly.

Molly nudged him, teasing, “Chad, why not use your secret dad tricks?”
