Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1579

Katie’s hair had grown out, but she was still as sharp and put-together as ever.

Jamie still lit up every time she saw Denny; where things were going between them, nobody really knew.

After finals, the four of them met up one last time before the holidays.

That night, Henry was once again calling his mom, begging her to come home.

"Mom’s out having dinner," Mia answered.

"Where? You went out to eat and didn’t take your precious boy?" Henry protested, dramatic as always.

Mia just laughed. "Why don’t you ask your dad to take you out for dinner too?"

Henry hung up and dashed over to his dad, who was camped out on the couch, eyes glued to the international news. Henry pried open Andre’s hand and wedged himself right into his lap.

"Dad, where are we going for dinner? I want to eat out too!"

Andre looked down at his little mischief-maker. "Didn’t you just have dinner?"

"I’m hungry again!" Henry insisted, eyes wide.

Andre scooped him up. "Watch the news with me first, then I’ll take you out."

Henry nodded like a tiny negotiator. Andre always kept his promises.

When the news ended, Andre told Henry to go get his shoes, while he grabbed the car keys and waited by the door—patient as ever, even though Henry took his sweet time.

By eight o’clock, Asher’s phone rang. "Hello?"

Fresh from the shower, Asher threw on some clothes, headed downstairs, and slid into the passenger seat next to Andre.

"Andre, you’re out of your mind. Dragging me out for a late-night snack?"

"And yet, here you are," Andre shot back.

Asher glanced at the backseat and grinned at his godson. "Only because of this little guy."

Mia teased him, "You’ve got so many godfathers. Which one’s missing?"

Henry toddled across the bed, wobbling dramatically. His antics had Mia laughing so hard she nearly fell over, and even Andre couldn’t keep a straight face.

"Mars has been MIA for a while. Asher and I were just talking about him tonight," Andre said. "I can’t believe those little ears picked up on it." He gently tugged Henry’s ear and pulled him into his arms. "Alright, close your eyes—Dad’s going to put you to bed."

Henry shook his head and glanced over at Mia. "I want Mommy to do it!"

Mia was on break and looking forward to sleeping in, so she wanted to keep Henry up for some late-night games. Andre murmured something only the two of them understood, "He’s not getting Mommy tonight."

Andre carried Henry into the nursery and asked, "Do you want a little sister?"

Henry looked at him, puzzled. "Where do sisters come from?"

Andre paused, caught off guard. "Not from me—your godmother is having a baby."

Henry flopped onto the bed, then looked up at his dad, grinning mischievously. "Daddy gets a little girl, Mommy gets a little boy!"
