Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1567

Mia thought they were heading home, but to her surprise, Andre led his wife and son upstairs. “Conner, Mars, and Teddy are all here. It’s been ages since they last saw Henry—they’ve missed him. Come on, let’s go say hi.”

Mia followed Andre into the elevator, Henry in tow. Henry, wide-eyed and curious, peeked around, recognizing where they were. “Daddy, my godfathers are here,” he whispered.

Andre tousled his son’s hair. “Yep, you’ll see all your godfathers in a minute.”

Mia asked, “How come Conner’s here?”

“Annie’s prenatal records need to be moved over to Newtown Hospital, and they still had some luggage to pick up. He’s here to finish up those errands. After this, they’ll be settling down in Newtown for good.”

They stepped out of the elevator and into a private suite.

For Henry, it was the start of another happy adventure. “Godfather!” he shouted, running over.

It was half past ten before the three of them finally made it home.

“Babe, did Annie and Conner patch things up?” Mia asked as she slipped off her shoes.

Andre shook his head as he drove. “Not exactly. They didn’t reconcile, but they’ve let things go.”

A moment passed, then he glanced over. “Tired?”

Mia let out a yawn. “A little.”

Her yawn was contagious, and Henry, ever the copycat, followed suit. He kicked off his little shoes, crawled onto the back seat, and rested his head on Mia’s lap, cozying up and drifting off.

Seeing her son half slumped over, Mia gently scooped him up into her arms.

After a few gentle scoldings from Dad, Henry obediently stood on his stool, letting his mom and dad feed him bits of breakfast.

The early morning sun streamed in, and the clinking of spoons against bowls and Henry’s giggles filled the big house with warmth.

“Honey, I’ve got three big lectures today, so I won’t make it home for lunch. Where should Henry go?” Mia asked.

Henry perked up—it was his choice to make. “I want to go with Daddy!”

Andre grinned. “Alright, he’ll spend the day with me at the office. You can swing by and pick him up after your last class.”

After breakfast, Andre dropped Mia at the campus gate, watching her disappear into the crowd of students before turning to his son in the back seat. “Henry, sit tight.”

Once again, Henry was carried by his dad into Cedillo Inc. The staff was used to it by now—the CEO doting on his little boy. No matter how many times Henry’s shoes scuffed his shirt, Andre never seemed to mind. He always held Henry close, patient and loving, as if nothing else in the world mattered.
