Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1561

“Conner, so does Cooper actually have ties to the royal family here?” Annie asked.

Conner crooked a finger, beckoning her closer. “Come here, I’ll let you in on a secret.”

Annie leaned in, eager for the scoop. A second later, Conner flashed a wicked grin and gently nipped her earlobe. “Conner!” she squeaked.

The hospital garden echoed with laughter—Conner’s deep, carefree chuckles, followed by a playful yelp as Annie gave him a swift, harmless smack.

Eldoria Havenbrook, Maplewood Estates.

“Mommy, come play with me,” Henry pleaded, climbing onto the sofa and wrapping his pudgy arms around his mom’s neck, nuzzling in for some love.

Mia glanced at her phone, reading Annie’s latest message. “Weird. Kristen’s never studied abroad. But the Crown Prince everyone’s talking about? He did.”

“Mommy~” Henry whined, tilting his little head, watching her with big, hopeful eyes. His chubby hands framed her face, gently turning her toward him. In his sweetest baby voice, he urged, “Look at your baby, Mommy!”

Mia turned to meet his gaze, then scooped him up in a hug. “Give Mommy just a minute to finish this, and then I’ll play with you, okay?”

“I’ll sit with you while you look,” Henry insisted.

“Oh really? Can you even read yet, you little rascal?”

Henry pouted, knowing he couldn’t read, but he was great at picking out people’s faces.

He pointed at Kristen’s photo. “That’s Kristen~”

Then, pointing at Owen’s photo, he wrinkled his nose and stage-whispered, “Mommy, he’s ugly~” Henry suddenly remembered that bulldog.

Mia glanced at the foreign prince’s photo and chuckled. “Ugly? He’s not! You have the funniest taste, kiddo.”

The word “ugly” jogged her memory. “Hey, sweetheart, is that scruffy puppy yours? Or his?”

“His~” Henry replied with a cheeky grin, laying on the cuteness.

Mia was slowly settling back into her teaching routine. On lighter days, she could leave Henry at home for a couple hours—after all, with a house that size, there was always something to keep him busy. If she had a packed schedule, she’d drop Henry off with friends or family, and there was never a shortage of volunteers to watch the adorable little guy.

Every time she picked him up, Henry was a sticky, snack-covered mess. She’d just take his little hand and march him home for a good scrub.

That evening, with Andre home and still a little buzzed, Mia decided to strike. “Babe, is Cooper friends with Owen?”

Andre froze.

Even tipsy, he snapped to attention. His throat bobbed as he swallowed hard. Why’s she bringing this up? How does she even know?

Mia narrowed her eyes. “Well?”

Henry, still in his dad’s arms, looked up, puzzled. Why isn’t Daddy answering?

“It’s true, isn’t it?” Mia pressed, her patience running thin at his silence.
