Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 1015

Aaron fell silent for a moment, then spoke again, his voice thick with disgust. “Honestly, I never thought they’d sink this low. To actually kidnap Lillian, and then lock up Ms. Davis like that… it’s just shameless.”

To him, Jordan Smith’s behavior was the exact opposite of what you’d expect from a powerful family’s leader. He looked more like a petty criminal than someone at the top.

Dennis’s face gave nothing away. His voice stayed calm. “It doesn’t matter. The Smiths broke their promise. From now on, they have no right to see Lillian again.”

Aaron understood right away. He couldn’t help but admire how Mr. Williams always thought ahead. Ever since the Smiths started causing trouble, they’d guessed things might come to this. Dennis’s words to Camila weren’t just to make her feel better.

He’d actually warned Lillian in advance, telling her not to be scared if anything like a kidnapping ever happened. He had even explained about the tracking device hidden inside the locket she always wore. Just in case. He’d taught her what to do in situations like this, always promising that no matter what, he would come and get her.

What started as just a precaution had become their reality, all thanks to the Smiths.

Dennis had worried Lillian was still too young, that she might not handle things as bravely as she’d promised. But seeing her again, he realized she was so much stronger than he’d imagined.

As for Camila, when she hadn’t come out of the Smith Estate for so long, Dennis immediately suspected something was wrong. He ordered his team to check her location, but the first results said she was still inside. When night came and she still hadn’t shown up, he told his people to search again, more thoroughly this time. It took a while, but they finally found where she really was.

Aaron asked, “Mr. Williams, what do we do next?”

Dennis’s eyes were cold, his face showing no emotion. “We go in.”

“Understood.”

Aaron didn’t even blink. He knew there was no way Mr. Williams would let anyone take the woman he cared about, not even the Smith family.

First, Aaron drove back to Misty Vale Villa to take Lillian home. Melissa George and Jerry Davis had rushed over to Harrisburg as soon as they heard the news. Now, they were both waiting anxiously at the villa.

As soon as the car pulled up, Melissa hurried outside. The second she saw her precious granddaughter safe in Dennis’s arms, both she and Jerry broke down in tears of relief and happiness.

His team wasn’t made up of amateurs. They were all highly trained. The villa’s guards never saw it coming. By the time they realized what was happening, they were already overwhelmed, and Dennis’s people had reached the front door.

The noise outside was so loud it woke Jordan Smith upstairs. He threw on a robe and came out of his room, his brow furrowed. “What’s going on out there? Why is it so loud?”

Nathan Gates had also been woken by the commotion. He’d already gotten the details and hurried to Jordan’s side. “Sir, the head of the Williams family is here with his people. I think he’s here for Ms. Davis.”

Jordan’s face twisted with anger. “He’s got some nerve. Does he think this is Cabinda?” He’d been on the losing end in Cabinda, and that frustration had been building for a long time. But this was Harrisburg, his territory. For Dennis Williams to act so boldly here felt like a slap in the face to the Smith family.

His eyes narrowed as he glared downstairs, a cold energy radiating off him. “Let’s go meet him.”

“Yes, sir.”
