Nancy finished her filming three days later, and Director Grant threw a party to celebrate.
Luna was seated to Nancy's left, Charlie to her right, and everyone was toasting to them.
When a man raised a wine glass to Nancy, Charlie quickly blocked it. "Vivi doesn't drink," he stated.
Director Grant and the rest of the crew were speechless...
This wasn't what Charlie had said before.
He had claimed then that Vivian could hold her liquor.
But Director Grant was wise enough not to challenge him and quickly pulled aside those about to toast with Vivian.
Given Charlie's poker face, no one dared to offer him a toast. All people’s eyes instead turned to Luna.
Sighing, Luna stepped up to lighten the mood. "Since Vivi and Young Master Firth aren't drinking, I'll drink with you," she declared.
Nancy smiled faintly and peeled a shrimp from the dish before placing it on Charlie's plate.
Ever since the event, Charlie had been a bit down. Nancy had been looking after him, forgetting she was the one wronged that day.
As Charlie ate the shrimp, she asked, "How does it taste?" He nodded and offered her a piece of boneless fish. "Try this."
She grabbed Luna's hand, her eyes full of sincerity. "As soon as we land, I want to return my dad. Please let Vivian know."
"Is it really that urgent?"
Luna asked, concerned. Dealing with Vivian, who had the entire Mirren Family behind her, wouldn't be easy.
Glancing at Charlie, Luna knew she had to choose a side. Steeling herself, she squeezed Nancy's hand. "Alright, don't worry. I'll talk to Vivian tonight. But as for Young Master Firth..."
"I'll handle it," Nancy assured her. The thought of her father filled her with excitement. "I'll have him fly back on his private jet tomorrow. And I'll return with you. As soon as we land, I'll go pick him up."
She couldn't wait any longer. An uneasy feeling lingered in her heart. She knew she'd only find peace once her father was back with her.
