Nancy pouted slightly, amazed at how quickly Director Grant's attitude had changed.
It was extraordinary considering how everyone on the set had to cater to his every whim, no one daring to even raise their voice at him.
He was the king of the set; his word was law But now, here he was, groveling before her. It was quite the dramatic change...
Seeing that she had the upper hand, Nancy feigned a sigh of resignation, "Alright... If Director Grant insists, I agree with that."
"Haha, fantastic!"
Director Grant's voice sounded ecstatic, " Sorry to bother you and Young Master Firth. Vivian, don't forget to bring the bill tomorrow for reimbursement." And with that, he hung up, clearly elated.
Only then did Nancy break into a joyful smile, "Hee hee... I've never seen Director Grant being so meek."
Charlie took the phone, slipping it back into his pocket.
Seeing Nancy's face light up in a hamster-like grin, he couldn't help but smile.
Suddenly, he reached over and took Nancy’s phone, "Unlock it and give it to me."
"Wha...?" Nancy's smile froze, "Why? This is my phone. Are you trying to snoop into my privacy?"
Charlie flicked her forehead with his fingertip, "Snoop? I’m going to check it right in front of you!"
"Ouch!" Nancy covered her head, mumbling, "So brazen... You even unlocked it with my finger while I was asleep that day, snooping into my privacy. What else do you know except that I'm not Vivian?"
Despite her complaints, she unlocked her phone and handed it to him obediently.
Charlie glanced at her, amused at her reluctance. But he had to admit, regardless of her expression, she was always adorable.
After reading the all the messages. Nancy's mood was like a roller coaster, up and down, but the last message quite annoyed her.
"So, I owe Luna a favor..."
"What favor!"
Charlie's finger bent, wanting to flick Nancy's forehead again, but recalling her reaction earlier, he paused, instead he squeezing her soft cheek.
"Nan, can't you see that Luna is deliberately currying favor with you?"
"Ouch, ouch..." Nancy swatted his hand away from her face, huffing, "Stop touching me like that. It’s hurt!"
"You know what hurt feels like?" Charlie shook his head with a laugh, " Being so simple-minded, I wonder how you've managed to survive till now. "
