Chapter 891 Tell Me Who She Is
August was strong-willed, but Marlena’s pestering successfully annoyed him. He remembered Lucia's look when they left. He was distressed and eager to hold her in his arms. Only he couldn't do that. Marlena's hand paused. She raised her head and looked fixedly at him. Obstinacy appeared on her face.
"Tell me who she is."
Jealousy consumed her sanity. She was driven crazy by his simple words. August certainly would not tell her.
"She's way better than you."
Marlena suddenly laughed, "Trust me, I will find out. The woman standing by your side can only be me."
Marlena crushed a petal. The red sap flowed out from the gaps in her fingers, dropped to the ground, and disappeared. August realized his improper speech and furrowed his bushy brows. That was rash of him. He shouldn’t have exposed it. Who knew what this crazy woman would do?
Fortunately, Lucia was playing the role of his sister. Marlena would not investigate her for the time being. He was relieved a little. Marlena wiped her hands and continued her way forward as if nothing had happened.
Lucia was a little dismayed but knew it was not the right occasion to talk about it. She had to suppress her negative emotions. Terry led them to the dining table on which lay all kinds of delicacies and vintage wines. Lucia tried to sit next to August, but Marlena beat her to it. They were separated. August was unresponsive. He didn't even look at her. She knew that it was inconvenient for him to explain. Even so, she couldn't help feeling aggrieved. She collected herself and sat down beside Daryl.
Not long after, Tina appeared in front of them. She was dressed up and wearing delicate makeup. Her blonde hair was combed into a bun, but her eyes remained vacant. She looked like a lifeless puppet.
"Sorry guys, I'm late," she said blandly.
Marlena waved at her. Mom, over here."
