Chapter 813 How to Tie a Tie
When Edmund arrived home, Currer was sitting leisurely on the couch in the living room. "I thought Lucia would go out for a walk with you and Phillip. I overestimated you."
Edmund was angry when Currer mentioned it. He asked impatiently, How did you get in here?"
Seeing the hostility in his eyes, Currer raised an eyebrow lightly. "Technically, I'm senior to Sophie. We come from the same place. We have different skills, of course."
Edmund narrowed his eyes slightly and threatened her, "Tell me everything you know or I won’t work with you again."
"Are you afraid?" Currer got up, fiddled with his tie, and said in a seductive voice, "There's no going back from the moment you chose to take my side."
The next second, Edmund clutched her chin with murderous intent. "Behave yourself. I don't have to consider the power behind you if I really want to get rid of you."
Currer was terrified. She realized Edmund was reminding her that he had her secret. She had finally gotten rid of Griffith Organization. Andrew wouldn't fight Edmund for her. She would die if Edmund was determined to get rid of her. With this in mind, she gave an obsequious smile, took Edmund's hand away from her chin tentatively, and leaned on him. "Mr. Shea, I came here today to help you. How could you scare me?"
Edmund snorted, pushed her away, and sat down on the couch with a gloomy face.
Currer staggered back, rearranged her features, and sat down across from him. "I know Sophie very well. It won't be long before your son is back to normal.
I'm afraid you’ll lose the only leverage you have to approach Lucia."
Edmund didn't deny it and glanced at her, gesturing for her to continue.
"Mr. Shea, I went to the Adams villa to get information for you. There’s a wedge between August and Lucia right now. You'd better take the chance."
Edmund narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, took out a bank card from his wallet, and pushed it toward her. "You'll get more if it works out."
Currer thought about it and didn't take it but explained with a smile, "You can't give me what I want. You'll pay if you get in my way."
Edmund raised his eyebrows and pulled his card away simply. "I have only one request. Do it quickly."
"I need you to give me one thing," Currer said with a sneer.
At the same time, in the quiet living room of the Adams villa, Lucia was looking at August's gloomy face. "I promise I won't do that again when Phillip is cured. Please forgive me," she said obsequiously with pleading eyes.
Timothy and Janet were both trying hard not to laugh when they saw that Lucia, who was usually so stern with them, was now so obedient.
August just glanced coldly at the staff in suits next to him. "What are you waiting for?"
Lucia looked at the black letters on the whiteboard and couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"A hundred ways to tie a tie for Mr. Adams."
"August, are you out of your mind?" she asked through gritted teeth.
August's lips curled into a faint smile and he teased, "Take your time. I'll test you in three months."
Lucia was speechless. She had to tame her hands for the next three months!
Not surprisingly, Lucia learned only three ways to tie a tie in five days. As a result, not only she but also her teacher cringed at the sight of a tie. Even Janet learned how to tie a bow tie, but she made little progress.
August, however, was satisfied with her. One morning, he looked closely at the tie Lucia had tied for him in the mirror and asked casually, "What are you doing today?"
"Going out with Sophie." Lucia moved her sore fingers. "I want her to let Daryl speak her mind so we've been to the Davenport's a few times..." she neglected to mention Phillip.
August didn't suspect her but straightened his tie with satisfaction and kissed her gently on the forehead. I'm going to investigate a very important matter this afternoon. I'll be late. Don't wait up for me."
Lucia hesitated to ask if today's class could be canceled, but August left the bedroom before she could say anything.
