Chapter 746 Autism
The stupidest person was able to understand the metaphor in her words. These women didn't know how to reply but to
smile embarrassedly. Therefore, they didn't dare to talk to her easily anymore. The whistle sounded again. In the
distance, August and Timothy's figures rushed across the red line at the same time.
"Babies, let's take a short break. For the next small game, you have to complete it together with your mom and dad."
With that, the teacher let the children return to their parents.
The family of four chose a relatively clean flower bed to sit on. There were a few pairs of parents resting next to them
who wanted to talk to Lucia and August but didn't dare to. Lucia had sweat on her forehead. She hastily drank water and
occasionally discusses with August the company's subsequent PR issues.
She unintentionally caught a glimpse of a small figure approaching from a distance. The boy in front of her looked the
same age as Timothy and Janet. He had no expression on his face. His pupils were slightly unfocused as if he was staring
at the water in her hand.
Lucia was stunned, shook the water bottle in her hand, smiled and asked, "Do you want some water?"
The little boy still had no expression, not responding to her at all. But his eyes moved with her movements, seemingly
interested in the water bottle she was holding. Lucia was a little worried and looked around to find that there were no
parents next to the little boy and no one in the distance looking anxiously for the boy.
She got up and went forward, squatted beside the child and asked with concern, "Hello, little boy, where are your
parents?"
The boy still did not speak, and his lightless eyes did not focus. He just stared blankly in her direction and swallowed
hard. Looking at the boy's dry lips, she instantly reacted. This child should be very eager to drink water, so he came
over.
She thought about it and took out a bottle of new water from her bag and handed it to the boy, who stood frozen in place.
and didn't mean to take it. When Lucia saw that this weak child was the same age as her babies, she felt a little sad. With
a deep sigh, she unscrewed the water bottle and handed it to the boy's lips. The boy immediately lowered his head and
swallowed the water one bite after another, as if he hadn't drunk water in a long time.
Seeing this, Janet immediately ran to them, took the little boy's hand and said warmly, "Little brother, where are your
mom and dad? Why didn't I see you when we were playing games together just now?"
The little boy glanced at her and immediately shook off her hand with extreme resistance. Because of the force, Janet did
not stand still and fell backward to the ground.
She wiped her wet eyes and looked at the boy pitifully, "My mom just gave you water to drink. I just wanted to play with
you."
The boy gave her an expressionless look and stood still for a moment.
Janet sniffed and got up from the ground, stood up again in front of the boy and said timidly, "I want to be your friend. I
won't argue with you." She said with a smile and held out her hand to the boy, saying, "If you want to be friends with me
too, then put your hand on my hands."
The little boy suddenly inclined his head, as if he understood her words. He slowly raised his little arm and put his little
hand on janet's hand. Janet was very surprised. She looked at Lucia happily.
In the distance, a woman's voice was filled with anxiety. She seemed to call out to someone and soon came toward Lucia.
"Phillip! Phillip!"
When the woman saw the little boy, her eyes lit up and she immediately ran to him. Seeing that he was holding Janet's
hand, she froze, then looked at Lucia and smiled apologetically, saying, "Mrs. Adams, I'm sorry to trouble you. I hope he
didn't hurt Janet."

Hurt? Lucia was a little confused, but she responded politely, "Phillip is very good. He didn't make any trouble for us. Are
you his mother?"
"No, no." The woman hurriedly waved her hand and handed Lucia her work card pinned to her cloth, saying, "I'm the
substitute teacher for the kindergarten class. I just found out Phillip was missing and came out to look for him."
"I didn't see Phillip play outside this morning. Why is he being carried by you? Where are his mom and dad?" Lucia asked
with a worried look.
"Phillip doesn't have a mom. His dad had something important to do today, so he didn't come to the parent-child
activity. I had to organize an activity in the morning, so I put him in the classroom. But when I came back from fetching water for him just now, I found that he was missing."
As they were talking, Janet ran over with her favorite toy, intending to give it to Phillip. Seeing this, the teacher was shocked and she immediately pulled him back two steps, as if she wanted him to keep a certain distance from Janet. Janet and Lucia were stunned at the same time.
"Why are you..." Lucia became more and more puzzled.
The teacher gave her a somewhat embarrassing look and hurriedly explained, "Phillip has autism and a communication disability. He will hurt other children, and I had no choice but to separate him from the other children."
As the teacher spoke, Phillip suddenly reached out his arms to Janet, seemingly wanting to hug the doll in her hands. Janet handed him the toy and asked curiously, "Mom, what is autism?"
"Janet, little brother is sick. So, you and your brother have to take care of him at school, got it?" Janet nodded seriously. The teacher was a little surprised to see this scene. She said admiringly, "This is the first time I've seen Phillip playing with children. Mrs. Adams, you are amazing."
Lucia showed a gentle smile. Her eyes fell on Phillip's body and her tone was full of worry, "Phillip is a very good child." "Mom, since little brother's mom and dad are not with him. How about we take him to play games together this
afternoon?" Janet looked at Lucia with an expectant look
Hearing her words, Lucia was a little hesitant. After all, she and August had two children to take care of and were busy. If there was one more child, she was afraid that she would not be able to take care of them well. And even if she was willing
to agree, the teacher might not agree.
As expected, the teacher immediately refused when she heard this, saying, "Phillip is very unstable and can act
aggressively at any time. I have no way to guarantee that he won't hurt Timothy and Janet."
"We will take care of him, and we will also ensure the safety of our children." August's cool voice rang out abruptly. He
met Lucia's surprised gaze and explained in a calm voice, "He likes Janet a lot and I don't want to let Janet down." Lucia couldn't help but shake her head and laugh, softly teasing, "It seems you've changed a lot in the past few years,
too."
August gave her a look and snorted, "I'm not as too kind as you are."
The assembly whistle sounded again. Timothy and Janet pulled Phillip back into the group. The two little ones kept
talking to Phillip, not caring, even if they didn't get a response from him. Phillip remained expressionless. His pupils were unfocused but his little hands clutched onto their sleeves tightly.
