Now that she had achieved the goal by letting the audience be the judges, she could just leave Yoyo's family there going

on with their farce.

"Shall we go back now?" suggested she with a weary sound in her voice. Now she only wanted to check Yanny's situation

as soon as possible. August nodded, beckoning to Timothy and Janet with one arm, and holding Lucia's shoulder with the

other.

When they went past Yoyo, who was busying with her act of beating the kid, Yoyo kept glimpsing at them as though with

something to say. Yet she had to continue the act in front of the camera, and thus could only let Lucia and August go.

Not far had Lucia and her family gone, they just heard the thunderous voice of Yoyo's husband resounding through the

little yard -- "Stop, you whore! Yanny didn't miscarry, there's no call to beat our son so hard!"

As Lucia turned back, frowning, Yoyo and her husband had been exchanging blows. Totally gone was their image of a

loving couple. At that instant, the man just gave his wife a smack.

Lucia turned to the front emotionlessly and asked August, "Do you think the filming will be affected if Yoyo's family

withdraw now?"

"No." answered August.

"Then there is a matter we'll have to discuss." Lucia's tone got serious.

Almost knowing what was on her mind, August stroked Lucia's hair in a jocose tone, "How come you become so

no-nonsense today? You used to be that softhearted, or even too softhearted."

Lucia only gave him a wry smile. "They will only get more audience to be cheated if they don't withdraw." The products

Yoyo sold in her live stream were basically problematic, and the popularity of the show would only mislead more

potential customers. That was an awful business. It was beyond Lucia to stop people from watching Yoyo's live stream

or purchasing her products, but she could at least try to reduce the number of audiences who were to be duped. "You were also doing that for the sake of Yanny?" August asked in a low voice.

Lucia paused as her little trick was exposed. With a slight feeling of uneasiness, she had to confirm. "Yanny may go

extreme sometimes, but she is basically a nice person. And the baby is innocent. It just infuriated me to see her being

hurt at such a crucial moment." Lucia got carried away while speaking. Yanny had just expressed how she looked

forward to the coming baby, and Lucia, who had two kids per se, just couldn't know the feeling better.

August used his own way to calm her down by holding her hand tightly.

When Lucia's breathing became more even, August declared seriously, "I will make things fair to Yanny since she has

protected Timothy and Janet this afternoon."

"But," Lucia held August with the other hand as something alarming occurred to her, "will that move produce negative

influence to the company?" As August had required the company under Lion Group to invest in this program before he

agreed to partake in the show, Lucia believed the company would definitely be affected if she tried to intervene in the

"You are no longer who you were." August observed slowly. "You never bothered to think of such things before." Her eyes downcast, Lucia replied, "How am I able to protect Timothy and Janet if I haven't gained any progress with so

many experiences these years!"

"Timothy and I are old enough to protect Mom." It was Janet's childish voice. She was certain her parents were the most

important people in her life though she still couldn't understand what they are discussing now.

Lucia was so touched that her eyes became wet and her nails sank into August's palm involuntarily. August frowned at

once, either being affected by her mood or due to the sudden pain. He answered as softly as possible, "Don't worry about

the company. Your husband won't go bankrupt because of such a minor matter."

Lucia flushed hearing the word husband. She did unwisely call him her husband once, and that just became the material for his banter. "Unashamed you!" Lucia murmured, keeping her head even lower and shrugging him away. She then

headed for Yanny's bedroom quickly.

Yanny was lying on the bed weakly. Still being dazed and frightened by the accident, she stroked her belly gingerly. Seeing Lucia coming in, Alex made way for her at the bedside. Hands of the two women were held tightly immediately. "Are you all right?" asked Lucia with concern. "Do you have to quit the show for the treatment?"

With a faint smile on her pale face, Yanny still acted aggressively, though in a jocose way, "Are you expecting me to quit

so that you'll be the only star in the show?"

"What a mean woman!" Lucia teased playfully. "I just shouldn't have come to see you so earnestly that I even skip my

meal!"

Yanny laughed, swinging Lucia's arm. "It's my bad! I promise I will treat you with a big meal when I recover!" "I want the roast!" Lucia looked aside, pretending to be angry.

"It's so easy to please a CEO's wife, huh?" Yanny mocked.

"Oh I change my mind! I want fish dumplings and caviar dishes in the top restaurant of Bon Cuisine!" said Lucia. "May I take back my words and just choose the roast?" Yanny waved her hand and pretended to be stumped, "Bon

Cuisine?! Please! Only the super rich like your husband could make the booking there. It's not a place for common people

Lucia laughed and pushed her hand away. August arrived at that moment with Timothy and Janet. The two kids rushed to

That reminded Lucia of the very business that had brought her here. "What's the opinion of the doctor in the screw after

the examination?" asked she worriedly.

"Fortunately it's much more stable in the second stage of pregnancy, and there's no big problem to me and the baby."

answered Yanny. "I was just scared, and the doctor said just some rest could do."

"But..." Lucia was still anxious, when a warm hand rested on her shoulder. There then came August's low voice, "I've got

Burton to send for the top obstetrician in Austos City. No worries."

Yanny's eyes popped out. She had spent half a year trying to make an appointment with that top obstetrician and the

efforts just went in vain. Now August could just send for the expert as easily as winking! Yanny couldn't help exclaiming
