Upstairs, Vickie was sitting at the balcony enjoying the breeze.

Vickie compliantly rested on his shoulders. She looked up to the sky full of stars, then said softly, “What did Shimon Flinders speak to you about today?”

Gregory’s body froze.

Vickie showed a thin smile.

“You don’t actually need to hide from me. I already know. I could tell Shimon Flinders definitely wouldn’t have come here for no apparent reason. He definitely had a purpose to appear today because we offended him completely for what had happened previously.”

As she spoke, she stood up and looked back at Gregory.

“Guess what I found while I was sorting out the wedding gifts today?”

Gregory’s eyes deepened but he did not answer.

Vickie took out a box from the side and opened it.

Only a few golden yellow pills, with the thickness of a little finger, could be found in the box.

She smiled and said, “I found this. It was gifted by Shimon Flinders. There was a note in the box, instructing me to take this pill once every ten days. He’s not even a doctor. How could he know what my diagnosis is or even know which medication I should be taking?”

Up till this point, Gregory already knew he could not hide any longer.

Vickie knew the truth earlier on.

He looked at her, and said deeply, “Do you really want to know?”

Vickie nodded.

“Okay, I’ll tell you.”

Gregory then told Vickie everything Shimon Flinders said to him.

Even if Vickie previously guessed something was hidden from her, the moment she heard the truth from him, she could not hide feeling shocked.

Gregory said with a deep voice, “According to him, you’re part of the Flinders and this hereditary disease most likely came from the family.”
