The comment section was flooded immediately with comments from Emilia’s old fans.
It had been 26 years since she supposedly died. Humans were forgetful, and time washed away their memory of the things and people that they used to love.
Nevertheless, the videos and photos of Emilia survived the testament of time. Her songs were still as good and moving as they had been even after 26 years.
Everyone, who was watching those recorded videos of her live performances, felt as if they had been pulled back to 26 years ago.
They remembered a young and vivacious girl standing on the stage, shimmering with her own radiance and heat as if she wanted to engulf the entire world with her own warmth and sweetness.
The comments flooding in suddenly took a poignant turn when everyone began wailing about how much they missed Emilia.
Many netizens or new fans of the blogger who did not know about what happened to Emilia were puzzled by those comments. They thought that Emilia was just trying to hype herself up, so they did not pay a lot of attention to the post.
Perhaps, she was some outdated celebrity trying to make a comeback again, and that post was just one of her marketing strategies.
However, they fell head over heels for her after they saw her live performances, read her biography, and listened to the songs she sang.
They could not help but admit that Emilia was a beautiful woman and that her songs were splendid.
How could anyone be as angelic as Emilia Jareau?
Their praises immediately turned into cries of pain when they realized that the angelic Emilia had led such a short life. She met her demise at too young an age.
Many users in the comment section ate their own words when they realized just how talented Emilia was as a singer.
In spite of it all, the real Emilia Jareau did not have the slightest idea of what was happening online.
For the past couple of years, she had stayed out of the country with only Spencer by her side.
She had no desire to look through the local news, especially any news that had to do with that person. It was to prevent her emotions from going into overdrive once again after she had tried so hard to regain control of them.
That was why she never went online and tried her best to isolate herself from society. She thought that she could find a quiet place and live there until the end of her life.
One day, out of nowhere, her doctor told her that she would only have three months to live. That was when she knew she did not have a lot of time left.
She did think about what she really wished to do in this limited time she had left on Earth. Ultimately, the only wish she could come up with at the end of the day was that she wanted to go back.
It was not because she wanted to take something away or to prove anything.
Her only wish was to be able to revisit her hometown one last time, to smell the familiar fresh air, and to…to meet again those people whom she had loved and was once familiar with.
There was nothing she wanted more than that.
She was grateful that she at least had the chance to meet Natalie Wright.
Natalie was the person she owed her entire life to, and she seemed to be living very well right now.
She definitely deserved the life she was leading. People like her were all hard on the outside but soft on the inside. She looked like she could bite your head off most of the time, but she actually had the biggest heart of all.
Natalie deserved to be happy.
How about that man?
She did contemplate whether she should go and see him, but she abandoned the idea eventually.
The past was the past. It was about time that she let things go. Everything should be left where it was on that fateful afternoon 26 years ago.
Besides that, she knew that Emilia was alive today because she did not have the heart to actually do what she had to do 26 years ago.
However, this did not mean that Xavier knew about this too.
She looked at the astonishment written all over his face as he held his phone. The light in her eyes dimmed, and she snickered. “What? Are you that excited to see your old flame’s photos that you can’t speak?”
Xavier was startled by her voice, so he spared her a quick glance before turning back to the photos on his phone, frowning all the way.
“Look at these tabloid accounts. How dare they do this!? They don’t have any boundaries when it comes to what kind of news they want to make popular. They can’t even let a deceased woman off! How absurd!”
His voice was tinted with rage as he spoke. He wanted to call someone right now to get rid of the post.
Just as he was about to dial the person’s number, Natalie reached out and stopped him. She grinned and said, “Why the hurry? They have posted photos as proof. What if she’s really still alive? If you dial that number, you’ll be severing the only lead you have right now.”
Xavier’s frowned went deeper at her words.
“That’s not possible! I went to search for her with my own team. The search area was huge, and there wasn’t any life-saving system or islands she could have swum to for help. She wouldn’t have survived if she really fell into the ocean and was stranded for longer than two nights.”
Natalie chuckled darkly but did not say anything in response.
Xavier dialed the number and gave the person on the other end phone an order, “Go and investigate the person who published that post about Emilia. Get someone to delete it. I don’t want to see news like this ever again!”
The person on the other line acknowledged and complied with Xavier’s order.
After he hung up the phone and put it down, he turned and noticed Natalie’s cold expression. Since he was not a dull-witted man, he knew what was going on right away.
“Nat, I don’t mean anything by that. I just don’t wish to see her name being used for marketing purposes even after she’s dead. She’s one of the Wrights after all.”
