Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 624

Jada Swanson was glued to her tracks.

Her face was as pale as death.

‘W-What did he just say?

‘W-Wife?’

“You both…”

She lifted her finger and pointed at them in disbelief.

Joel Foster lifted his hand which tightly interlocked Lucy Katz’s fingers.

He smiled slightly. “We’re married now. Ms. Swanson, can you give up already?”

Jada Swanson’s body was trembling in shock that she nearly fell to the ground in a disheveled heap!

Fortunately, her girlfriends reacted quickly and held onto her. She was saved from further embarrassment.

Jada Swanson was so furious that her face was flushed red and her eyes bloodshot. Tears raced down her cheeks.

“You both went so far as to get married? I refuse to believe this! This cannot be true!”

Joel Foster's face was painted emotionless as he replied, “It’s up to you whether to believe this or not! I have no obligation to explain it to you. I only came to inform you so that you will not come and trouble us in the future. Ms. Swanson, we are all grown adults. I hope that you will not make yourself look shameful anymore and not disturb other people any further.”

After he had said this, he completely ignored her and left the scene while holding Lucy Katz’s hand.

Jada Swanson’s heart was aggressively stabbed by the tone of his indifference.

She turned to see their backs. Their hands interlocked each other. She clenched her fists tight in anger.

‘Lucy Katz, Joel Foster.’

‘How dare you both hurt me.’

‘I will not let both of you go easily!’

After Joel Foster and Lucy Katz left that shop, they went into another shop to buy the rings.

The rings’ design was simple. Although Joel Foster felt that the pattern was too plain and he was not satisfied, he could not resist seeing Lucy Katz’s fondness over them.

She clung onto his arm and acted coquettishly. “I won’t be wearing it often anyway. What’s the point of buying such expensive rings? Why don’t we buy those that we can wear on any occasion? So that others may not have suspicions even if I wear it on another finger. Don’t you think so?”

Joel Foster could only helplessly heave a sigh upon hearing her words.

He held up his hand to rub her nose and smiled. “I really don’t know what to do with you.”

Lucy Katz smiled back at him. They strolled around until six in the evening, by then they were hungry. Both of them remembered that they promised to have dinner with Gideon Sam Leith and his gang.

They then made an appointment with them in the group chat to meet at half-past six at the pavilion.

While in the car, Lucy Katz recalled Jada Swanson’s reaction when they were at the mall.

She grabbed onto Joel Foster’s hand and asked, “Do you think Jada Swanson will finally give up, judging by the reaction you saw earlier?”

Joel Foster had a headache thinking about it and rubbed the temples on his forehead.

“We can’t do anything if she doesn’t surrender. Don’t you worry, I will protect you. I won’t let her hurt you.”

To his surprise, Lucy Katz faintly humphed and hurled his hand aside.

“Who needs your protection? I might as well protect myself. That would be safer.”

Joel Foster felt a throb by his brow bone when he heard this.

He subconsciously felt that something was amiss.

He turned to look at Lucy Katz. “What do you mean by that?”

Lucy Katz raised her eyebrows a few times. Her tone was filled with playfulness.

He was known to change women as often as he changed clothes. Even if she did not ask around about his background, numerous news would have reached her ears.

Yet, he claimed that he had nothing to do with Jada Swanson at all?

She furrowed her brows and asked suspiciously, “Is this really what happened?”

“As real as pure gold, if not more!”

Joel Foster held his palm up high and said, “If you still do not believe me, I will swear to God!”

Lucy Katz had a taboo against swearing. She quickly put his hand down after he said that.

She then pursed her lips and hesitantly replied, “If it’s real then it’s real. Why do you need to swear? I don’t believe in these things.”

Joel Foster laughed at this sight.

He clasped his hands onto hers. This time, Lucy Katz did not avoid him.

Joel Foster said to her in a serious but gentle manner, “It’s not just her. Out of the ten pieces of news that you hear outside, nine of them are not real. It’s my fault though. I was too lazy to deal with this gossip. I felt that it was too troublesome and took a laissez-faire attitude.”

“Don’t you worry, I did not have anyone special in those times, so I did not care to explain. It’s different now. Now that I have you, I will not let these things happen ever again. I will not make you feel unsettled toward these situations. Do you believe me?”

Lucy Katz turned to look at him. His words were heartfelt, his eyes sincere.

Her heart was finally moved.

She understood him. He looked like he was a cynical person on the surface, but he had a pure genuine heart.

She bobbed her head. “Fine, I’ll believe you.”

Joel Foster became happy at her words.

They both soon arrived at the pavilion.

Owen Jackman and Stephanie Garett had long turned up.
