Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 600

The director had created such an opportunity that they should not miss.

So, Lucy cleared her throat and coughed, saying without shame, “Simon.”

Simon heard it and removed the shirt covering his face.

When he saw it was her, his face turned gloomy and rolled to the other side to ignore her after snorting.

Lucy felt embarrassed.

The atmosphere was quiet. As she thought about it, she felt that this awkwardness could not continue.

Since she was already there, she would want to clear the air.

The thought calmed her as she walked aside and pulled a chair to sit, saying, “Simon, I know you’re hating me now but we’re in the same film crew and I haven’t done anything wrong to you. You don’t have to give me that attitude, do you?

“Just because I rejected you so you’re boycotting and ignoring me? Is Young Master Wilburn really that petty?”

Simon jolted up.

He sat on the chair and looked at Lucy gloomily.

Lucy raised her eyebrows, exuding a bold aura.

Simon was furious but there was nothing he could do.

Finally, he could only say, “Yes, I’m not petty but if you’re rejecting me, at least give me a reason! Don’t expect the reason that you gave me previously can chase me away. I don’t believe it.”

Previously, Lucy had told him that she did not like him romantically so he would stop having feelings for her.

Therefore, for the past few days, Simon threw tantrums because he felt dejected as his machismo and pride were hurt by the rejection.

He still felt confident.

He felt that since Lucy did not like him, she did not hate him.

No matter how much he liked her, he felt that he had to keep a distance and not do anything that may make her resent him.

However, Lucy did not take him seriously and simply gave an excuse instead of telling him properly.

Moreover, she stuffed him with a lie.

He was angry at that.

When Lucy heard that, she was at first stunned, followed by laughter.

She was surprised that those were Simon’s thoughts.

After some thoughts, she asked, “Then, why do you think I don’t accept you?”

Simon frowned.

A long while later, he coughed. “How will I know your heart’s desires?”

Lucy smiled and then sighed.

“I’m not lying to you. Simon, you’re a good man but I only see you as a friend. I don’t want to lose a friend because of this, do you understand?”

Simon looked at her with a serious gaze to ensure there was no deception then he said, “Then do you mean, I still stand a chance?”

Lucy was speechless.

Her headache came again.

She rubbed her head and explained thoroughly, “Since I’ve said that we’re friends, that means there’s no chance between us. I can’t be in a romantic relationship with my friend, right?”

“Why not?”

Simon quickly replied but he regretted that he spoke too soon.

After putting on an act for so many days, his impatience was exposed at that moment.

Since he had said it, there was no use regretting it.

He thought about it and asked, “Do you have someone you like?”

Lucy was stunned.

Simon looked at her seriously.

What made him think that she needed to tell him that she was in a relationship?

The people in this industry knew that secret relationships were common. Even the managers or personal assistants of many celebrities had no idea about the love life of their artistes.

What more a colleague or a friend?

Simon could not help smiling bitterly.

When Lucy rejected him, he had thought about this possibility.

Now that he heard it personally, he still could not believe it.

He looked at her and asked, “Who is he?”

Lucy pursed her lips and did not answer the question but instead, changed the topic. “Simon, you’ll definitely find someone who is better than me, a girl who will be more suitable for you. We’ll have our own happiness and won’t waste our effort on unnecessary people.”

Simon looked at how calm she was when she said those words and he felt like a knife had pierced through his heart.

She already had someone else in her heart!

Even if he was sad and unwilling, he should not disturb other people’s relationships, should he not?

He should not let his love for her become a nuisance to her, should he?

Simon drew a deep breath and forced out a smile, then he nodded.

“Alright, I understand.”

After a while, he asked unsatisfyingly.

“Is he good to you?”

Lucy was stunned again.

Then, she smiled.

“Yes, he treats me the best in this whole world.”

When Simon saw how subconsciously happy she was when she said that, he felt like his heart was sour and pain as if being dipped in lemon juice.
