Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 511

Levi barked impatiently and then looked at Lucy.

“Your idea of playing the good guy in the crew isn’t bad, unfortunately, your methods aren’t very clever.”

Lucy raised her eyebrows.

With this, she was finally clear on Levi’s attitude toward her.

Without having to look back, she could hear the rest of the people talking about her. They had reason to believe what they just saw, so they did not think in detail about why Lucy would want to target Astrid in the first place.

The most important thing was that even Director Fernandez had concluded that Lucy was a scheming person. He first helped speak out on behalf of Astrid while privately retaliating against Lucy.

Lucy smiled coldly and looked down at the sword on the ground, and calmly picked it up.

“It was indeed my mistake earlier. However, the scene hasn’t been finished yet, so let’s continue now.”

Levi looked at the beautiful actress in astonishment.

“Continue?”

“Yes, didn’t you want to make sure progress isn’t delayed? Let’s continue. Senior Astrid’s injury is just a little flesh wound, so it shouldn’t affect the filming, right?”

Astrid also did not expect Lucy’s reaction to be so calm.

It was as if nothing had happened.

Besides her, everyone else watching this scene also could not help but glance at one another, not understanding what Lucy was up to.

In the end, it was Levi who frowned in dissatisfaction and said, “It’s already noon, so everyone should go have lunch first. We’ll film this scene afterward.”

The director’s voice was as pleasant as the sounds of nature and everyone was immediately relieved.

Astrid sat on the lounge chair, her gaze sweeping to Lucy occasionally. No one except the assistant close by saw the scorn in her eyes.

To prevent the afternoon shooting scene from being too awkward, Lucy thought it over and decided to walk to Astrid.

Not far away, the field attendants and cameramen pricked up their ears as if they would miss a big show if they did not pay attention.

“Why are you coming over here? The director has already spoken.”

Astrid lost a little confidence at the calm expression on Lucy’s face. She had long forgotten the smugness she felt when she framed Lucy and did not dare to meet her eyes.

“I came to apologize to you. It was my fault earlier. Since we’re filming together, we need to be cooperative. I’m sorry.”

Lucy’s voice did not sound forced at all, but it made Astrid feel like she was on pins and needles.

“Fine, I get it.”

The right side of her face twitched unnaturally and her fake smile looked even worse than when she cried.

Lucy gave her a long look then smiled and left without saying anything more.

As for Astrid, the boldness in her heart started to fade at Lucy’s attitude.

When the crew was released for lunch, the assistant swiftly brought over food for Lucy.

However, she did not look very happy.

“But…”

The assistant did not want to quarrel with the staff but the more she thought that someone as kind as Lucy would be treated unfairly, her heart grew incredibly bitter.

Lucy shot her assistant a look and motioned for her to be calm. She believed that others would be able to see Astrid’s true nature in a few days. Astrid’s little tricks would not last long.

In the evening, Levi announced that they would wrap up work early and the crew which worked hard the entire day revealed smiles.

Astrid deliberately distanced herself from the others and pretended to be cordial and leaned into Lucy.

The assistant quickly stepped forward to block her from Lucy and said fiercely, “What are you doing here now? Are you trying to pick a fight again?”

“How could you think of me like that? I just want to tell her to make sure she shoots well tomorrow.”

Astrid brushed off the sleeve that the assistant had touched in revulsion and strutted away in her high heels.

Behind her, the assistant’s little face flushed with anger. She had never met such a shameless person before.

“Come on. We just have to do our part.”

Lucy pulled her assistant to the side like an elder sister. Everyone who passed by them saw the scene earlier and did not even dare to breathe in Lucy’s direction.

Although she did not want to admit it, Lucy was indeed affected. However, she put up a professional smile on her face again and told herself that it was fine. The storm would always pass.

The next morning, Lucy’s faith was shaken by a small incident. Her time of the month had come.

Cramps wrecked her abdomen and Lucy’s forehead was soon covered in beads of sweat. Her assistant walked over and got a fright upon seeing her.
