Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 38

As it turned out, Gideon’s little woman was really smart.

Nell took a sip of tea from her cup and said, “You should find someone to help you with this problem first. I’ll find a way to help you solve the rest.”

Simon nodded.

Reminded by Nell, he also realized the strange nature of the matter and called his agent to help him look into it.

After the call, Nell continued. “Next, I’ll explain my plan. See if there’s anything you want to modify or supplement.”

Simon nodded. “Please go ahead.”

Nell told them roughly about the plan she had drawn up, and they both agreed with approval.

Simon was happy. It seemed as if he had found a lifeline.

After all, this case had been dragged on for half a month and no feasible solution had been found.

Although this plan of Nell’s was only a rough idea, it already felt almost perfected to the point of being flawless.

The three left the restaurant and parted at the door.

Nell did not go with Gideon. After all, it was getting late, so he had to go back to work.

Besides, she had driven her own car over, so there was no need to arrange for someone to send her back. After parting, she drove off on her own.

She did not return to Leith Gardens.

Instead, she drove back to her small apartment.

Although she had promised Gideon that she would live in Leith Gardens, many of her household items were still here.

Gideon was considerate for her in every way, but Nell felt that some things were more comfortable if they were her own, so she naturally had to take them over.

After packing her belongings, she was about to leave with a suitcase in her hands when she suddenly caught a glimpse of a box placed in the corner of the sofa.

The box was black and of the finest texture. It was wrapped in a coat of black velvet.

She paused and turned to open the box.

A fine quality men’s shirt was displayed in front of her.

It was the birthday gift she had bought for Jason Morton.

Originally, she had wanted to wait until his birthday to give it to him, but unfortunately, before that day could come, she caught his adulterous affair with Celine.

Thinking about this, Nell laughed.

In just a few days, she had gone from being sad when she mentioned that man to being numb and insensitive.

O, humans! It seemed like they were all fickle creatures.

Nell put it back, thought about it, then packed it up and put it in the suitcase to take it with her.

After all, she had bought it at a great price. It had cost over a hundred thousand yuan!

It was a pity to leave such high-quality goods here to collect dust. It was better to sell it to get some money back.

Nell “The Businessman” Jennings pulled the suitcase outside.

After going downstairs, she put the luggage in her car before driving to Leith Gardens.

Upon returning to Leith Gardens, she locked herself in her room and began working on Simon’s PR plan.

What she told him today at noon was only a draft plan. The details had not been specific because she did not know enough about the actual situation.

Now, she was going to refine the plan in more detail.

After finishing the plan, Nell sent the documents to Simon.

The two had already added each other on WeChat earlier. Simon did not reply after Nell sent him the file, but she thought that he was just busy and simply left her phone to go downstairs.

It was already 6:00 pm.

Considering the time, Gideon should be coming back soon.

She wanted this company because she was also a PR worker herself.

She had always wanted to set up her own company, but it was too complicated to build a team from scratch. Since there happened to be such an opportunity in front of her, she accepted it with pleasure.

Nell had not gone to the company to check the situation yet. She only had a general understanding of the company from outside news.

When signing the transfer documents, Thomas Morton had already informed the secretary to hand over the company’s information to her.

Only after reading carefully did Nell discover that the company’s situation was worse than she had imagined.

However, that made sense. No one would want to transfer the company unless it was in such a bad state that it was impossible to operate.

Xinghui Culture had been established for nearly forty years. In its early years, it had been considered a very famous and large entertainment company.

There was a period of time where it was even considered the benchmark of the entire entertainment industry. They not only produced a large number of superstars, but also created dozens of films and television works that had extraordinary influence.

Logically, an established company like that should not have fallen to the point where it was today.

However, ten years ago, Skylar Terrell, the ace of the PR team back then, decided to become an agent and took away a large number of A-list superstars, causing Xinghui to decline gradually.

Skylar took three groups of artists from Xinghui, all of whom were key training targets for Xinghui. It was equivalent to draining Xinghui’s lifeblood.

The reason why those people were willing to go with Skylar was because the contract they signed with Xinghui at that time was very harsh, and their remuneration was extremely low.

Therefore, most of them were willing to pay the large sum of money for the termination fee. Even if it caused some heartache, they were just cutting losses early.

Although Xinghui doubled its revenue in a short period of time, the company had been drained of blood and was like the walking dead. It would only continue to gradually decline and decay.

Coupled with the changes in the industry and the rapid rise of its peers, Xinghui’s splendor shrunk smaller and smaller.

Today, the entertainment empire which originally represented an era had been reduced to less than ten artists, and all of them were little-known small-time performers.

In terms of the resources they had, it was even worse.

For more than a year, there was not a single good resource received by the artists of the company.
