Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 370

Nell tried her best to hold back her laughter but she could not control herself. After she calmed herself down, she said, “Who are you so adamantly jealous of? I don’t even know that person. Furthermore, I didn’t plan on accepting such an expensive gift in the first place. I was going to try to find out their identities and return the stuff to them.”

Gideon let out another “hmph”.

Nell did her best to reassure him. Luckily, that man was not angry. He was just a bit peeved that his girl was being madly pursued by some other guy.

Finally, when Nell had managed to calm him down, Gideon made one more request. “You don’t have any shoots tomorrow, right?”

Nell paused briefly. After thinking about it a little, she realized that it was true.

Gideon said, “Come accompany me at the office.”

Instinctively, Nell immediately wanted to reject him.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, you have your work after all…”

“I only have a meeting tomorrow morning. I’ll be at my office for the rest of the day. All you have to do is to stick by my side.”

Nell hesitated briefly, but thinking back to how she had been busy with filming and that she had not spent time with him for quite a while, she agreed to his request.

The next day, Nell had her assistant, Kylie, take the day off and went to the Leith Corporation headquarters along with Nancy.

The people at the company knew about her. Thus, when she and Nancy walked into the building, unsurprisingly, everyone greeted politely one after the other.

Nell took the President-exclusive lift upstairs to Gideon’s office. Nancy did not follow along. She turned back and headed to the secretary’s office to enjoy some tea.

Nell pushed open the door to President Leith’s office.

Since Gideon had told everyone that she was coming, no one tried stopping her from doing so.

When Nell entered the room, Gideon seemed to be making a video conference call.

That must have been the morning meeting he was talking about yesterday.

Nell did not bother him. After making brief eye contact with the man, she motioned for him to continue with his meeting as she just walked up to one of the sofas and sat down.

Soon, Matthew walked into the room, bringing with him her favorite milk tea and some magazines she liked.

He had information on everything Nell liked, from her favorite food and beverages to her various hobbies.

These days, a good secretary would not only need to serve their boss well, but more importantly, they would also need to serve their boss’s partner well.

Matthew’s work ethic was based on this principle. Hence, when Gideon saw the milk tea and magazines placed in front of Nell, a smile flashed on his face. He was satisfied with his secretary’s performance.

A short while later, Gideon’s conference call had ended.

He stood up and walked over, giving a big kiss on her forehead. He said softly, “Just chill here, once I finish up with work, I’ll bring you out for a meal.”

Nell smiled and gave a small nod.

Then, Gideon dove right back into his work.

To be honest, when he asked Nell to come over and accompany him, she knew that she would not be able to accompany him for too long.

This man was just way too busy.

This entire morning, he had just been taking calls non-stop, while summoning the heads of the company’s various departments to talk about work.

As the heads of each department walked in and saw Nell Jennings sitting on the couch, they were all very curious about her. After all, even if they knew that Nell was President Leith’s wife, they rarely, if ever, saw the two together in the flesh.

Of course, in front of Gideon Leith, none of them dared to express their curiosity.

They obediently gave their reports and left the office.

On the other hand, Nell, who was the recipient of these sneaking glances of curiosity, felt quite uncomfortable about it.

After changing into their new attire, the two headed out.

At night, when Lizzy found out that her mommy had a day off, she threw a tantrum wanting to come over to see Nell. However, Gideon immediately rejected the request, wanting to spend a romantic evening for two with Nell.

Soon, the couple arrived at a vacation hideaway in the mountains.

Fengqiao Villa was great, but Gideon could not help but feel that after living there for such a long time and having so many servants in the house, there can sometimes be a lack of freshness or romanticism in that place.

This mountain retreat was opened by one of Joel Foster’s friends, so it was kind of like a private villa. Not only was the environment lax and peaceful, but more importantly, it was also a relatively unknown place. It was not a getaway that one could get access to with just money.

This was especially true when looking at the alcohol they had here. Rumor had it that the owner was an alcohol fanatic. To get the alcohol of his dreams, he went to France to buy a vineyard for himself, planted the grapes himself, and personally made the wines here. Although they were not some old dated wine, it still tasted quite good.

Since it was Nell’s first time here, everything seemed to pique her curiosity.

The moment the alcohol was served, with only a single sip, she could already tell the difference.

“This wine is amazing! The initial fragrant bitterness compliments the eventual strong sweet aftertaste so well! How delicious! How was it made?”

Gideon, who was sitting on the other side of the table, chuckled. “If you ask me that now, there’s no way I’d be able to give you an answer. However, if you really like it, we can just buy the production technique for this wine.”

Nell was dumbstruck by the suggestion. She quickly shook her head.

“It’s fine, this is the result of someone’s heart and soul. We’re just here to enjoy it, there’s no need to take it that seriously.”

Gideon let out a hearty laugh.

He was only casually joking about it. He knew full well that Nell was not the type of person to do such a thing.

She knew how to judge other people’s worth and always respected their hard work and efforts. Hence, there was no way she would do something like buying out the efforts of someone else’s labor just on a whim.

As the two continued drinking and chatting, a lax and carefree aura filled the air.
