Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 348

It was then that Old Madam realized that her reaction was too drastic, it had scared the child.

She quickly reined in her anger and said softly, “No, Grandma isn’t angry. Grandma loves you. Our little Lizzy is so adorable and cute, but there are still evil people who want to harm you. Don’t worry, Grandma will help you find the culprit and I won’t let her go easily!”

Lizzy seemed to understand, and knowing that Old Madam was not mad at her, she relaxed.

Nell frowned. “Lizzy, are you sure that someone pushed you just now?”

Lizzy widened her eyes blankly at her, then looked at Gideon who was standing next to her with the same puzzled look.

Finally, she shook her head.

“I am not sure.”

Although she was still young, she knew that she could not blame people as she liked.

Therefore, she just spoke the truth. “Just now, I lost my balance, and I cannot remember if I slipped by myself or if someone pushed me from behind. Anyway, I must have fallen by accident.”

In response, Old Madam said calmly, “It’s okay if you don’t remember, we can check and monitor the CCTV.”

After she said this, she turned her head to look at Old Master Garrett, who was sitting behind her in a wheelchair, and questioned coldly, “Old Master Garrett, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

Now that such an incident had happened to Lizzy, Old Master Garrett was also feeling guilty, so he could not refuse the request.

“No problem. I’ll send someone to get the footage right away.”

Old Madam nodded in satisfaction. As she looked at Nell’s dripping clothes, she quickly said, “It will take a while to retrieve the footage. You’re no use soaked like this. You might want to make sure that Lizzy is okay, but you might catch a cold too. Why don’t you ask someone to get you some clothes?”

Harriett, who had been next to her quietly, quickly stood up and smiled. “That’s true. Although it is spring, the weather is pretty chilly. I have some brand new clothes that I haven’t worn. I’ll bring you to get changed into a set. Then, we can come down and check the footage out.”

Nell had no objections to that, but Old Master Garrett stopped Harriett and told Stephanie who was standing nearby, “Stephanie, you bring Gideon’s wife since you’re both around the same age and your clothes would suit her better.”

At this point, Harriett’s face flushed in embarrassment.

Nonetheless, she would not dare to refute the old master in front of so many people.

She went with the flow, “That’s okay. I also bought a few sets of outfits while shopping with Stephanie just a few days ago. Stephanie, why don’t you take them all out and let Nelly take her pick?”

Stephanie furrowed her eyebrows and a trace of impatience flashed in her eyes.

Still, she did not refuse as she said in a deep voice, “Come with me.”

Then, she brought Nell out.

Gideon was rather worried about her. He had wanted to go with her at first, but he was stopped by Nell’s expression.

After all, Lizzy was still there. Although Old Madam and the others were around, she was still a little worried.

Though with Gideon there, she could feel more at ease.

Although Stephanie had always been at odds with her, compared to the rest of the Garretts, she felt that Stephanie was the least threatening to her.

With that, Nell followed Stephanie into her room which was decorated in a very simple yet elegant style. The whole room carried a post-modern minimalist style. While it did not look very feminine, it exuded more of a tough vibe that leaned more to a boy’s room.

As soon as she entered the room, Stephanie took out all the outfits and threw them on the bed while saying casually, “Take your pick! Once you’re done changing, call out for me.”

After that, she was about to leave when Nell glanced at the clothes and suddenly stopped her.

“Ms. Garrett, I’d like to ask you a question.”

Taken aback, Stephanie turned around to look at her with wide eyes.

“What would you like to know?”

Without any hesitation, she started to change her clothes in front of Stephanie, who was so incensed that she was behaving so shamelessly.

Just when she was about to fling the door open, she was startled.

She caught sight of a butterfly in mid-flight on Nell’s perfectly aligned back when the latter had just removed her wet clothes.

She was shocked!

It was a red birthmark. Because it was next to ribs, it looked like it was flying with every move of her arm.

That was not...

Her expression changed abruptly.

However, Nell did not notice anything. After putting the sweater on, there was a belt that she needed to tie behind her.

Because of the adrenaline, she must have not felt it when she strained her muscle in her attempt to save Lizzy, but she could now feel the pain shooting up her arm when she tried to tie the belt.

She asked, “Ms. Garrett, do you mind helping me tie this?”

Stephanie reacted by stepping forward subconsciously without answering.

When she could feel that Stephanie was helping her with the belt, Nell curled her lips and said, "Actually, if you didn't like Gideon, I’d have taken you as a good person who isn’t as bad as I thought."

However, Stephanie already was so bewildered that she did not pay attention to what Nell was saying and was in no mood to argue with her.

So, she just gave a vague response, but in her mind, all she could think about was the birthmark.

With a smile, Nell said, "Speaking of which, Justin isn’t too bad. Although his background is not that good and he has suffered a setback in his career, he has a decent heart.

“The scandals that came up before were mostly caused by other female artists who wanted to use him to hype themselves up and not because he wanted to get close to them. So if you are pregnant with his child, you can really consider having a future together. Give it a try."
