Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 31

Nell seemed to have heard a joke.

She looked at Jason sarcastically. “Are you saying that they’re the only ones in the wrong? You’re not included?”

Jason stiffened slightly.

He took a deep breath and explained. “I didn’t know you were drugged last night. I did realize that something was wrong with you, but my thoughts didn’t go in that direction. At that time, I was going to help you, but Celine’s stomach suddenly hurt. I couldn’t just ignore her.”

Nell raised an eyebrow. “And? Did she lose her baby?”

Jason paused for a moment before answering, “No.”

“Since she didn’t, why would her stomach suddenly hurt for no good reason? Besides, she looked just fine earlier. There doesn’t seem to be any signs of miscarriage!”

Jason’s expression grew slightly cold.

“What are you implying?”

Nell laughed absently. “Nothing much. I was just thinking that if such poor acting skills were enough to fool you, then it seems that I’ve really overestimated you in the past!”

“Nell!”

What Jason could not stand most was the way Nell looked down on him.

It reminded him of… Of...

His expression darkened and he gritted out, “Could you stop saying such unpleasant things? Celine is your younger sister. If you hate her so much, then you don’t have to see her in the future, but why do you have to curse her so viciously? You were never like this before!”

Nell’s face also grew cold.

She sneered and looked at him with icy eyes.

“They deliberately plotted to harm me, while I just said the word ‘miscarriage’, but you think I’m vicious? Why don’t you think about what she’s done to me?”

Jason stiffened and grew at a loss for words.

In the end, he only said coldly, “Didn’t you turn out fine? Besides, this might not have anything to do with Celine!”

Nell smiled sarcastically and shook her head. She could not even be bothered to say anything more to him.

She turned around and headed for the Rolls-Royce.

However, a voice suddenly called behind her. “Wait!”

Nell paused in her tracks, her expression frigid.

Jason stepped forward and stopped a step away from her.

The fine rain drifted between the two like an invisible barrier separating them.

She said coldly, “Just spill it already! I don’t have that much time to waste on you!”

Jason clenched his fists tightly. In the end, he asked the question he wanted to ask from the bottom of his heart.

“Are you… Really together with him?”

Nell naturally knew which ‘him’ Jason was talking about.

The corners of her mouth lifted. She did not turn back, but her head was tilted just enough for him to see the smile on her lips.

“So what if I am?”

“When did it happen?”

“Why do you care?”

Jason. “...”

He paused before saying in a low voice, “Gideon Leith isn’t as simple as you think. His background is complex, and he’s not a good match for you. You’ll regret it sooner or later if you stay with him!”

Nell laughed.

In that smile was indescribable desolation and irony.

“In the past, there were people who said that we were a match made in heaven, but what happened?”

Jason. “...”

“Jason Morton, don’t keep acting like a know-it-all and thinking that you understand everything. In the end, you’ll find out that you don’t know anything at all. You don’t understand anything at all!”

Then, no longer interested in getting involved with him, she strode away on her heels.

Someone had already come forward to greet her with an umbrella.

The bluish-black umbrella was held over her head respectfully.

The person bowed and opened the door for her and Nell entered the car. Her figure carried an indescribable coldness and loftiness.

Jason stood in place and watched the car door shut, and then it dawned on him.

The black Rolls-Royce sped along the highway early in the morning.

In the car, Nell pursed her lips and smiled at the man sitting next to her.

Gideon grew slightly uncomfortable at her look and cleared his throat.

Then, he suddenly reached out and pushed her face away.

Nell let out a muffled laugh.

“President Leith, I’ll remember your great kindness today! I’ll definitely repay you in the future when I have the chance.”

Gideon frowned slightly and turned to her. “What did you call me?”

Nell’s smile froze.

A touch of coldness flashed in his eyes. “Mrs. Leith, do you need me to teach you how to address your own husband?”

Nell. “...”

She quickly shook her head. “No.”

“Then let’s hear it.”

Nell was a bit embarrassed. “Uh, now? Would it be a little… Inappropriate?”

In front, Matthew immediately said, “Young Missus, I’m deaf and can’t hear anything.”

Nell. “...”

Gideon's cold glance swept over. Matthew immediately shut up and raised the barrier between the front and back seats.

Nell was even more speechless.

It was just saying a few words. Was there a need for that?

It was as they were doing something shady back here!

Thinking about this, she suddenly blushed.

‘Bah bah bah! What are you thinking about?’
