Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 307

He tossed his phone aside and picked up his clothes to go for a bath.

However, at this moment, the doorbell rang.

He was stunned and asked, "Who is it?"

No one answered. He frowned and walked over to open the door. As soon as the door was opened and before he could see who was standing outside, a puff of white powder suddenly hit him.

He only felt a piercing sensation on the tip of his nose, then he blacked out.

On the other hand, when Tara got home, she saw her mother, Sophie Kerr, coming out of the house.

Although the Garrett family was deeply rooted, Tara's family was a sidelined kinsmen who had never enjoyed the family’s benefits.

Tara's father, who was never ambitious, had always been ignored by the Garrett family.

He currently ran a small business and he liked drinking and playing cards with friends.

Tara's mother, Sophie Kerr, was a middle school teacher. Her family background was not considered good, but she was gentle and virtuous. The family was not that wealthy but they were quite well-off.

Seeing her mother dressed up so late, Tara asked, "Mom, are you going out?"

Sophie sighed. "Your dad and a few friends are socializing and playing cards in the hotel and said that he has no cash in hand so I’m going to send him some.”

Tara frowned.

"It's already so late and he’s still playing cards?"

"What can I do? Your dad wants to move in the direction of real estate recently and has taken a liking to a piece of the land in the south of the city and he wants to partner with your uncles to get it. So, he bought dinner for people from the bureau and if they’re having a good time, he can’t leave, can he?"

Tara turned her head and looked into the night through the window and was a little worried.

She thought for a while and said solemnly, "Give it to me! I'll send it."

Sophie looked at her with concern. "Can you do it? It's already so late."

"Your eyes aren’t that good and if I can't do it, then the more you can't do it. Alright, I'll drive there and nothing will happen. I'll come back after the delivery. Just wait for me here."

Sophie agreed.

Tara took the money and went out.

Half an hour later, she arrived at the hotel her mother had said.

Seeing the magnificent name in front of her, she could not help being taken aback.

How come it was here? Was this not the place where Owen held his birthday party?

She could not help laughing as she did not expect this coincidence that she would be back in just a few hours.

However, she did not give much thought about it and hurriedly walked in the direction of the housekeeping department.

After getting out of the elevator, she took out her mobile phone to call her father but for some reason, the mobile phone suddenly lost its signal.

She frowned and looked at the signal lost display on the phone which left her no choice but to walk forward based on the memory of what her mother had said before she left.

At this moment, the door of the next room was suddenly opened from inside and then she saw a man stumbled out of it.

She was taken aback and immediately took a step back. When the man ran closer, she looked intently and her face changed drastically.

Who else could that man be besides Owen?

She hurried over and grabbed Owen's hand, asking, "Senior, are you okay?”

Owen raised his head and stared at her with red eyes.

His words caught Tara by surprise and then her heart tingled slightly.

Her eyes felt sour and hot as if warm tears were about to flow out.

After a sniff, she took a deep breath and endured the sourness at the tip of her nose before saying, "Senior, don't be nervous, I don't mean to hurt you. I‘m just worried about you. Are you uncomfortable? Don't be afraid. I’ll take you to the hospital, alright?"

Immediately, she took her cell phone out to make a call.

However, before the call could be made, Owen snatched it over. The next second, the phone slammed into the wall and was smashed to pieces.

Tara was stunned as it was the first time she saw Owen like this but before she could react, the man suddenly went up to her and grabbed her chin.

His face was red as a lobster and his eyes were misty where a strange and frightening light flickered in them.

Tara became scared as the pain at her chin told her that this man had lost control of himself and was no longer the Owen that she was familiar with.

She retreated and asked, “Se...nior, are you okay? Don't scare me."

She already had a guess in her heart.

However, she had never experienced it before, so she was not sure.

At this time, Owen seemed to be completely irrational and could not understand what she was talking about. He only stared at her with a pair of flushed eyes, which looked like a wild beast in the jungle eyeing its prey.

He suddenly opened his mouth and said with his hoarse voice, "Girl, come here."

Tara trembled all over and dared not move forward. She just kept retreating backward.

"Senior, if you, if you’re uncomfortable, I’ll get someone to help you, okay? I, I’ll go and get someone now!"

After speaking, she got up and tried to escape.
