Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 276

Gideon nodded before he finally spoke.

“I thought that you would hate her, so I didn’t expect that you’d help her. Aren’t you jealous?”

“Jealous of who? Stephanie Garrett?”

Gideon nodded seriously.

Nell could not help but laugh.

“Why? Because she deliberately got close to you during lunch?”

Gideon frowned.

His frown deepened at her flippant attitude.

Nell burst out in laughter.

“Come on. I’m not even jealous of the fact that she was your ex-girlfriend, so why would I get jealous over a meal? Wouldn’t I have to live in jealousy every day in the future if it’s like that?”

Nell was exceptionally open-minded and could see the large picture of a lot of matters.

She could clearly see what was hers and what was not, as well as what was true and what was false.

She never made herself unhappy over meaningless things.

Yet although she was happy, Gideon was not.

He looked at her bitterly. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about me at all?”

Nell laughed again.

“You’re saying I don’t care about you just because I’m not jealous? President Leith, Boss Leith, you should be a little more mature.”

Gideon grew more dispirited.

Not wanting to continue this topic anymore, Nell said instead, “By the way, Stephanie found me earlier. She looked at me as if she was afraid that I would tell others. Do you think she’ll resent me because of this?”

Gideon’s face darkened.

“She wouldn’t dare.”

After a pause, he added, “Since it involves an artiste from Anning International, I’ll have Matthew send someone to check it out later. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”

Nell nodded.

No matter what, Stephanie was a member of the Garretts, who were friends with the Leiths.

For the Old Madam’s sake, she also did not want anything to happen to Stephanie.

In the evening, Gideon received a call from Elijah Davis to go drinking at a bar. From the tone of his voice, he seemed to be in a bad mood.

Gideon was not concerned that he was in a bad mood. After all, even if that fool was unhappy, he would naturally be accompanied by dozens of flowers. So it was nothing Gideon had to worry about.

However, even though he did not want to go, Nell did.

This was because she had been in the capital for so long but had never gone to a bar yet, hence she was wondering if there was anything different in the bars here.

Since Gideon did not want to disappoint her, he made a detour and drove to the bar, L-VE.

This bar was famous in the capital for its beautiful ladies. The moment they entered, they were washed by a wave of heat inside.

The hall was very lively, filled with rubbing shoulders and entwining legs. Music boomed and strobe lights flickered, and countless young men and women writhed to the beat of the music, venting their remaining energy of the day.

Although it was not the first time Nell had been in these kinds of places, she was still not used to it.

Behind the discomfort was also a hint of curiosity and excitement.

The two of them searched the hall but did not find any sign of Elijah.

She was just about to call him, but unexpectedly, as soon as she pulled out her phone, someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around to see him standing there.

Nell jumped in surprise and asked, “Where did you pop up from?”

Elijah’s eyes swept across the bustling hall before saying, “Come with me.”

Stunned, both of them followed him.

The corridor on the second floor was spacious, with private rooms on the left and a row of small barstools on the right. They could see the performance on the stage on the first floor by sitting on the barstools.

Instead of entering a room, Elijah led them to a large counter with the best view and sat down.

When a waiter came over to ask for their drinks, Elijah ordered a dozen beers.

Nell pointed at the girl’s back and asked.

Elijah snapped back to reality. A complicated look flashed in his eyes before he shook his head.

Nell smiled. “I know her, but I’m not that familiar with her. She seems to be part of the Garrett family. I think she’s a distant relative!”

Elijah’s face remained expressionless.

His gaze when he looked at Tara simply grew deeper and deeper.

Nell was slightly confused.

Gideon too frowned at this and said in a deep voice, “Elijah, if you like her, then man up and go after her. Why are you sulking and drinking here?”

Elijah jumped and instantly turned pale.

Nell looked at him and then back to Tara, who was sitting not far away and smiled. “It seems like you knew that she was coming over today, so you deliberately came over as well?”

Elijah remained silent, which could be taken as a tacit admission.

Nell did not understand.

“If you like her, then go after her. You, Young Master Davis, are talented, wealthy, and attractive. What are you afraid of?”

Elijah stalled and opened his mouth. He had wanted to say something but ended up holding back again.

Nell was about to persuade him again when her palm under the table was suddenly pinched by Gideon.

He said casually, “Fine, if you don’t want to go up to her, then just drink your beer and stop staring at her. Others might think that you’re a stalker.”

Nell found that funny, but she understood him too.

There was most likely something more going on.

Since Elijah was unwilling to talk, they naturally would not force it.

Then, the three stopped talking. Elijah simply downed cup after cup, clearly drowning his sorrows in alcohol.

Over at the bar counter, Tara chatted with a man who was sitting beside her before she left.
