Celine did not expect Jason to say something this harsh. So she sat there in disbelief while her hands that held her phone shook from all the frustration.

“JASON MORTON! Where is your conscience?! Why are you talking back to me? Did I not contribute to this relationship with you all these years? If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have put myself through all that grievance just for that!

“How could you do this to me now? You said you would love me for life, that you would treat me well. In fact, you were the one who tricked me into jumping in this hole!

Tim then brought her around and chatted with a few investors.

He was not good at socializing but he knew no matter how bad he was in this field, he must act well to not shame himself or who he represented.

Since Nell had been in the public relations field for many years, she was much more skillful than Tim. Hence she was able to fill in for Tim’s shortcomings and sail through the situation with ease.

However, Celine arrived a little later. She usually attended events with Jason but today, she came alone and it made her uncomfortable.

She was very depressed. Even though she had put on meticulous makeup, she had lost the glow that she had on her face before.

Angel could not follow Celine in, so she parted with Celin at the entrance.

When Celine came down from the car, Angel said, “Ms. Celine, I’ve called Young Master Morton but he said he’s busy and cannot make it tonight.”
