Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 224

All of a sudden, the crowd gathered around Celine to shower her with congratulations.

“Celine, I’m so envious of your luck!”

“It looks like Young Master Morton is spoiling you like a little princess! I think no one would say anything if you quit acting to be a rich young mistress.”

“That’s right. Will we ever be blessed with such good fortune too? Where is our Prince Charming?”

Naturally, some of them seized this opportunity to ridicule Nell.

“I thought so! For sure Young Master Morton fancies Celine. A certain someone thought too highly of herself and kept babbling on about how she’s got a fling with Young Master Morton.”

“Tsk, haven’t you heard of something called delusional disorder? This is a wicked disease. Celine, you better stay away from her.”

“Exactly. She thought she’s above everyone else just because she utilized some improper means to acquire the lead actress role.”

“Get her to see this! Show her how well Young Master Morton treats Celine. Let’s see if she still has the cheeks to argue more.”

Surrounded by a group of women, a fuzzy feeling filled Celine’s heart as the crowd showered her with lavish compliments.

The flattery went to her head and she smiled sweetly at the great satisfaction. “Please stop saying that.”

Then, she quickly defended Nell. “Elder Sister is great too. Perhaps what happened before was just an unintended mistake. I’ve already forgiven her, so please stop with the insults alright?”

“Celine, you’re too kind! That woman is going to ruin you soon.”

“Sigh, forget it. We’ll show you some respect and be kinder to her.”

Everyone was blabbering at the same time while the staff who was about to leave with the proof of receipt suddenly turned around.

He frowned and walked over to Celine with a question. “Miss, you’re not Miss Nell Jennings?”

This caught Celine by surprise.

The others were startled too.

Someone shouted, “What are you talking about? This is Celine Jennings!”

That staff sighed helplessly.

“You should’ve said it earlier! These flowers are meant for Miss Nell Jennings, not you.”

As he spoke, he crossed out Celine’s signature on the proof of receipt in front of everyone.

“…”

Celine was speechless. The crowd did not know what to say as well.

In the meantime, Nell was walking toward their direction. Upon witnessing the strange expression on their faces, she asked in confusion, “What’s going on here?”

That staff walked toward her. “Hello, do you have any idea where Miss Nell Jennings is?”

Nell was baffled.

“That’s me. What’s the matter?”

That staff’s eyes twinkled with brilliance as if he had found treasure. He quickly handed over the same proof of receipt which had Celine’s signature crossed out.

“These flowers are from Mr. Leith. Please place your signature here.”

“…”

Nell was at a loss for words.

All of a sudden, she felt a pang of headache at the sight of the sea of roses laid in front of her.

What the h*ll did Gideon do?

Under the crowd’s scrutiny, she had no choice but to receive the card.

However, she realized it had already been signed before.

Although the previous signature was crossed out using a black marker, the name was still vaguely visible.

She raised her eyebrows subconsciously.

Celine, who was standing not far away, was flushed red with anger!

Nell was currently resting on the couch in the green room. She felt like laughing as she looked at the pink card in her hand.

Seriously? This man…

The card was intricately designed. The pink material that felt slightly rough was made of high-quality. Its edge was bordered by a gold thread and one short sentence was written in the middle of it.

“My love for you is as stubborn as an incurable chronic disease – L”

She reached out with her fingers to stroke the golden letters. A bubble of laughter finally escaped her mouth.

Hmm, although he did not stay put as she instructed, he knew better than to sign off with his name; he had kept to his words.

On second thought, Nell gave him a phone call.

Meanwhile, Gideon was in a meeting.

All of a sudden, he felt his cell phone vibrate. He paused in his tracks to announce to the room. “Let’s take ten. We’ll resume after the quick break.”

He quickly retrieved his cell phone.

The employees used to be astonished to see their boss picking up phone calls in the middle of a meeting but they had now grown accustomed to it.

There were even rumors about the boss secretly keeping a young mistress that he absolutely doted on.

Boss had broken the rules for this woman, so answering phone calls at meetings was nothing new anymore.

Naturally, some people became bitter with resentment as the gossip spread.

Their mighty boss used to be a man with his six roots of sensations, pure and clean. How did he become a despot with an unhealthy lust for women?

Obsession for women could ruin a country. Boss, please think twice!

However, these opinions naturally did not find their way to Gideon’s ears.

He stood by the corridor and spoke gently into the phone, “Nelly, have you received the flowers?”

“Hmm,” Nell mumbled nonchalantly, “what are you trying to do, Gideon? Why send me so many flowers out of the blue?”
