Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 171

Truth be told, Nell was afraid of shutting her eyes when she was conscious.

After all, after experiencing that kind of pain in her past life, her subconscious caused her to leave a bit of doubt at everything around her.

She was fine when she could see but when she was conscious with her eyes closed unknowing of the happening around her, the fear that buried deep in her memories would crawl out immediately.

Therefore, closing her eyes in front of him and entrusting herself to him wholeheartedly showed her great determination and resolution.

Her man noticed her fingers were shaking, he pulled her hands closer to his body, “Is it cold?”

She shook her head.

She puckered her lips and gulped nervously. In the end, she could not help but ask nervously, “Will you let go of my hand?”

“Never.” The man’s voice sounded strong and it put her at rest.

As long as she was with him, she was not as scared.

Soon, a whirling wind blew stronger and the chuffs sounded closer. She knew it was the helicopter landing.

All of a sudden, she lost her balance as something lifted her from the group. She cried out in shock.

When she reacted to the situation, she realized her man had carried her in his arms.

She did not open her eyes but she clung on tightly on her man’s collar. Her face looked rather pale.

Gideon asked deeply, “Are you still scared?”

Nell was stunned. She realized that Gideon captured the fear that was overflowing from her heart in his sight.

She curled her petite body in her man’s arms, his assuring and strong scent at the tip of her nose put her at ease.

She found out she was not as scared as before.

Nell smiled and shook her head.

Her man softly kissed her on the lips and said softly, “Trust me.”

“Mhmm.”

Her man then carried her forward.

She could feel him carrying her into the helicopter and suddenly everything became quiet except for the whirling chuffs from the rotor.

He sat down after they boarded but he did not put her down, instead he sat her down on his lap.

Nell felt embarrassed, she wanted to open her eyes but just when her beautiful lashes moved, she heard her man’s stern voice.

“Don’t move.”

She was petrified instantly and dared not even move her eyelids. The curiosity in her heart grew stronger.

‘Where is he taking me?’

No one was able to provide an answer even after the helicopter flew off.

She could feel the loss of gravity when the helicopter lifted off but because her man was carrying her in his arms, she was not scared.

It was quiet except for the constant chuffs from the rotor but she was able to pick up some occasional footsteps.

The helicopter then flew away steadily.

Nell was clueless where Gideon was taking her, all she could do was close her eyes and wait patiently.

Truth be told, she was actually a little excited, she was looking forward to the big surprise deep in her heart.

She had no idea what would happen next and what kind of surprise was in store for her.

Around 10 minutes later, the helicopter finally landed.

The journey was not long by all means but because she closed her eyes, she felt like a significant amount of time had passed.

He carried her from the helicopter.

Nell shuddered. Gideon held her hand tightly and smiled, he then brought her forward.

The path was lit up by artificial ‘stars’. The sparkles extended beyond their feet but it was not bright enough to light up the surroundings.

It felt like it was a starry path floating in the night sky. The dim light from the ‘stars’ vaguely revealed the shapes of mountains and valleys under their feet, easily increasing the adrenaline level.

Nell was awestruck.

She widened her eyes and sized up everything curiously.

Gideon, who was beside her, was a lot calmer. He held her hand tightly and led her to the end of the starry path.

“Gideon, where are we? It’s so beautiful here!”

Her man smiled. “Why don’t you take a guess?”

Nell spaced out as she tried to figure out where they were. She did not remember seeing such a beautiful place in the town that they were staying in.

Gideon smiled and softly flicked her tall nose. He did not tell her the truth and remained mysterious about where they were.

“You will know soon.”

‘Okay fine! It seems like he’s going to keep this surprise until the end of the day!’

Nell did not ask anymore. The two of them walked for almost five minutes before the starry path beneath their feet disappeared.

It was dark and quiet again.

Nervous, Nell subconsciously clung onto her man’s sleeves.

Gideon pulled her into his arms and said softly, “You don’t need to be afraid.”

A little pause later, he said, “Close your eyes and open when I count to three. Okay?”

Nell looked at him curiously. Even though there was no light around, she could feel her man’s warm and steady gaze.
