Gideon’s brow twitched and hinted at his displeasure.
“In other words, you’ll be away from home for a long time?”
Nell paused and remembered that this seemed to be true.
She tilted her little face and smiled at Gideon.
“It’ll just be for a few months. You’ll get over it. Time will pass quickly.”
Gideon smiled darkly.
“Hah! What about your promise to accompany me back to the capital?”
Nell. “...”
Uh…
Could she say that she accidentally forgot about it?
Seeing the man’s face darken at a speed visible to the naked eye, she quickly said, “There are still a few days until shooting begins, so I can go with you now.”
To prove her determination, she immediately took out her phone and looked up the airline tickets.
“It’s not too late to book tickets for tomorrow morning.”
Gideon smiled coldly and ignored her, and turned to walk upstairs.
Nell. “Caw caw caw.”
She thought that the man was angry but unexpectedly, he came back downstairs after a few minutes and threw a stack of travel brochures at her.
“Pick a place. We’ll leave tomorrow.”
Nell. “???”
Gideon looked a little uncomfortable.
“I finally managed to get a few days off. Don’t you want to go out to play?”
Nell immediately brightened up.
“Of course, I do.”
She quickly took the brochures and looked for the place she wanted to go to.
She asked him while she looked.
Gideon did not have any requests. He just thought that since the little woman before him was about to leave for filming and he still had to work, he might not be able to meet her every day.
As a result, they were bound to spend time apart from each other.
Since he was reluctant to part with her, he would spend these few days with her beforehand.
Nell was very fast in her selection. After all, she had been to quite a few places over the past years.
She soon found a few places that were suitable for sightseeing but did not have many tourists and presented them in front of him like a treasure offering.
“These are all places I wanted to go to myself. They’re all pretty good and quite suitable to play in in this season. Take a look and pick one.”
Gideon leisurely swiped at the tablet. They were all places with great scenery and perfect for young couples to travel and relax. He hesitated briefly before choosing one of them.
“This place! There are mountains and water and it’s even close to the sea. The view is great too.”
Nell leaned over to take a look and immediately grinned. “I like that place best too. Alright, it’s settled.”
“Mm.” Gideon nodded deeply. “I’ll arrange a specific time in the evening and inform you then.”
The itinerary was thus decisively finalized. After dinner, Nell returned to her room with her tablet and continued to plan out the travel guide.
That evening, Gideon made arrangements for them to leave for three and a half days. They would set off early tomorrow morning.
The cabin was quiet and no one spoke. She lay down sideways on the soft reclining chair and placed her hand on his waist, circling them, before closing her eyes.
Gideon’s actions paused as he lowered his eyes to look at the hand on his waist.
Turning his head, he saw the girl on her side, sleeping with her eyes closed. One of her hands lay on him in a uniquely dependent action and his heart suddenly grew soft.
He took her hand and leaned over to kiss her face, whispering, “Sweet dreams.”
Nell slept incomparably at ease.
Three hours later.
The plane landed at its destination and Nell was shaken awake by Gideon. She rubbed her eyes before following him off the plane.
Gideon made the sudden decision to take her out, so very few people knew about their vacation, and he did not bring many people with them either. However, for safety’s sake, he still let Nancy Murray come with them.
After getting off the plane, the car that had come to pick them up had already arrived.
The man led Nell to the car and they headed to a farm manor that Nell had personally picked.
The name of this town was called Herma, which meant fairyland in their language.
The two sat in the car and looked out the window together, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the serene environment. A patchwork of low red-roofed houses built in their local architecture was strewn about.
Rows of large pear blossom trees were planted on both sides of the street, blooming with fragrant flowers. Some people rode their bicycles under the trees, laughing, sweating, and looking leisurely and happy.
Nell was quickly attracted by the sight and leaned forward to look outside.
Gideon smiled faintly and held her hand.
Half an hour later, they had finally arrived at their destination.
They were very close to the sea. Although the manor was small and not that luxurious, it was quiet and elegant, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation.
The two hurried out. Since they would not be staying too long, they did not bring much luggage either.
