Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 137

Ethan turned to look at his daughter anxiously. “Celine, what’s going on? Why would this happen in our house for no reason? This is an inauspicious start to the day.”

Celine inhaled deeply.

“I’m not sure exactly but since this happened in our house, we should gather everyone to initiate a proper investigation.”

Ethan nodded in agreement.

“You’re right. Let’s do that.”

Simultaneously, Sylvia’s frail voice was heard coming from the outside.

“What’s happening? Why is everyone gathered around here?”

Ethan dashed toward his mother the way a drowning person would at the sight of a lifeline.

“Mother, you’re finally here. Come and have a look.”

He led Sylvia toward the bathroom door as he spoke.

Emotions chased over her features in quick succession at the sight of the bloody floor.

She thumped the walking stick onto the ground. “Ridiculous! Who did this?”

Sally was the first to speak. “No idea. Celine discovered this when she used the bathroom this morning.”

“We didn’t have any guests in the past couple of days and our bathrooms are cleaned every day. Therefore, this must be the doing of someone within our household. Get to the bottom of it! I must find out who did this no matter what!”

Within seconds, the entire villa broke into chaos.

Soon, someone uncovered the mystery.

The blood on the bathroom floor was actually pig’s blood. Early this morning at 7:00 am, a delivery man came with several packages and asked to use the bathroom quickly.

Naturally, the servants did not allow him to use Celine’s bathroom. However, the bathroom that the delivery man went to was not far from it either.

The servants were occupied with their roles at that time thus no one paid extra attention to that side of the house.

The delivery man took his leave on his own. Not long later, Celine went to use the bathroom after waking up and that was when the fresh blood was discovered.

Everyone felt slightly relieved upon uncovering the truth.

Although the other person’s motive remained unclear, they were not too concerned after making sure that this mess was not created by someone within the household.

Right at this moment, Celine’s cell phone rang out of the blue.

She retrieved it to find an incoming call from Jason.

The latter knew she had been recuperating lately thus he rarely called at this hour out of fear of disrupting her sleep.

This was why she was surprised to receive a call from him.

Jason sounded flustered. “Celine, have you gone online today?”

The question baffled her. “No, I just got out of bed. What’s wrong?”

“Then hurry and check it out for yourself! Your news took over the internet. Contact me again after that.”

The phone call ended abruptly at that note.

Confused, she logged on to her Weibo account.

A flurry of emotions stormed across her face.

The internet was suddenly flooded with posts regarding her life.

“Ethan, follow me.”

“Yes.”

Ethan trailed after Sylvia into her room. The woman positioned herself on the dark red rocking chair and rubbed her temples wearily. “Have you seen that girl lately?”

Ethan understood who she was talking about without having to question further.

“No,” he replied immediately.

“Well, has Celine provoked her again?”

“Probably not. Celine’s been occupied with memorizing scripts lately to prepare for her comeback. She rarely leaves the house.”

“Then it’s probable that she hasn't gotten over that incident from last time? About Dylan?”

Ethan laughed sarcastically.

“It doesn’t matter because she’s always disliked this household. I truly regret keeping her around. Look at the endless troubles she’s been causing me.”

Sylvia glared at him. Her pale eyes were filled with sharp brilliance.

“You can speak freely in front of me but never bring this up in front of Sally and Celine.”

Ethan appeared stunned.

Then, he pursed his lips in disdain and muttered in a near whisper, “There’s no need to be secretive among families.”

His grudge did not escape Sylvia’s ears although he was being extra quiet.

She replied seriously, “That wife of yours claims to be loyal but who knows what’s really going on in her mind? Don’t forget that she personally went behind the wheel to kill Cathy without hesitation back then. It shows that she’s not a simple-minded person. Humans change easily so it’s better to refrain from oversharing with her. As for Celine…”
