Spoiled by Mr. Russell novel Chapter 128

Chapter 128

With that thought in mind, Melanie no longer insisted on looking for Frank as she could not find him.

Even if she did, Frank might not care unless she...

Melanie’s heart erratically pounded when she thought of what Frank had said to her earlier.

‘No, Frank only wants my body. The only person I need to hang on to is Nate"

The host introduced the creators for each product on stage alongside their inspiration and creativity when making the scents. He also described the products’ notes and the type of people the scents would suit the most.

Occasionally, the host would call people to the stage and ask if they had any thoughts or opinions about the products.

Melanie did not want to go up, not because she did not want to be in the spotlight, but because she could not afford to be in it.

She knew many industry professionals were around, and they would call her out and ridicule her if she misspoke. So, she decided to remain quiet just in case.

Melanie tried her best to hide in the crow but saw Lily instead.

The host had called Lily to the stage, but he did not recognize her.

Then he asked her to test a scent that Claude, a famous perfumer from Westwood, had made.

Most wanted to try Claude’s product but were too afraid to do so since Claude was an industry legend.

Of course, everyone wanted to try his scent to improve their perfumery skills, but they feared embarrassing themselves by misspeaking.

Her words were shocking as they immediately caused a clamor among the audience.

Initially, Melanie stared at Lily with jealousy, but she faintly smiled when she heard what Lily said.

‘What a fool! You’ve offended the legendary Claude and the other industry giants.Does she think she’s so great?! She’s just a nobody who is acting arrogantly!’

"Uh..."

The host felt slightly embarrassed but continued, "I'm sorry, I didn’t catch what you said. What do you mean?"

Of course, Lily heard the audience’s clamor below the stage as Jenny frowned and shook her head at her, signaling her to stop spewing nonsense.

Lily’s expression remained unchanged, and she continued with a calm smile, "I mean, a legend like Claude often has to hear us juniors commenting on his work.Even if he hears some remarks that don’t make sense, he must keep his composure and not lose his cool with us juniors. That must be stressful for him."
