Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 833

Yvonne stood beside Bennett, saying nothing, simply watching Cynthia's performance.

She thought Cynthia was wasting her talent as a writer and producer; she deserved an Oscar for that acting. She had truly mastered the art of playing hard to get.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Noah and Cynthia left. Bennett and Yvonne then headed to their private room upstairs.

Yvonne couldn't eat seafood, so Bennett ordered a few of her favorite dishes, just enough for the two of them without being wasteful.

While waiting for the food, Yvonne gazed idly out the window, which overlooked the street. She saw Noah, ever the gentleman, open the car door and carefully help Cynthia inside.

A first love, she mused, truly holds an irreplaceable place in a man's heart.

"What are you looking at?" Bennett asked, looking up at her as he poured some tea.

Yvonne pulled her gaze away from the window. "Looks like you might be getting a new sister-in-law soon."

"Oh," Bennett responded nonchalantly, handing her the freshly poured cup of tea.

Yvonne took a sip of the warm tea and then casually asked, "Has the situation with the White family been resolved?"

"Karina got a two-hundred-million-dollar settlement from the divorce. She's already used it to pay off her useless brother's gambling debts," Bennett explained.

"The White family has always treated Karina like a blood bank, yet she's still willing to let them drain her dry. It's truly baffling," Yvonne said, frowning as she drank her tea.

Bennett replied, "You grew up in a normal, loving home, so of course you wouldn't understand families that favor sons over daughters. The girls in those families are manipulated from a young age. The less love they receive from their parents, the more they crave it, the more they yearn for their approval. Some might eventually see the light, but others never will."

Yvonne was silent for a moment, processing his words. After a while, she asked, "Bennett, do you prefer boys or girls?"

"As long as you're the one giving birth, I'll love them either way," he answered with a smile.
