He’d outdone himself. He’d carried her into the hotel room, through the living area and into bedroom and he was still holding her up in his arms, bridal style.

Alcee looked around the room in awe. “You did this for me? You,” she frowned in confusion. “This was the room where we first met up.

“It was. I thought it might be nice to spend our wedding night here, where it all began and maybe come back every year?”

“You’re a very romantic fellow, aren’t you?”

“Not really. I keep thinking of the great sex from that night, how tight you were, how you moaned with every single one of my touches. I just want my dick wet.”

She shoved his chest as he grinned at her without remorse. She stretched her hand out and picked up one of the flickering tea lights which adorned the room, “you made it sexy like this our first night too. All the moody lighting and fake candles.” She looked to the bed with the heart shape made out of rose petals.

“I wanted real candles but apparently people when they’re getting naughty in hotel rooms knock shit over

“Pretty sure the last time we were in this room, you took me on that dresser,” she pointed to where there were a bunch of candles set, so I’m thinking the fire safety thing is warranted.”

“I did too,” his face took on a nostalgic look, “we’d taken a shower together and I made you come on my tongue, and I was carrying you back to bed and couldn’t wait to get back inside you.”

“The next morning you killed someone right out there,” she pointed to the living area they’d been through earlier.

“Zanelli.” He grunted. “I didn’t want to leave the room to deal with them. I didn’t want to leave you at all. I was so enamored within a few hours and the notion of leaving you, Alcee, made me act rashly.” He stared into her eyes, “I knew from then you were meant to be mine forever.”

“What would you have done if you’d found me and I was married with kids?”

“Killed your husband, claimed your kids, seduced the fuck out of you.” He didn’t even hesitate with his words.

“At least your honest,” she griped as he slowly lowered her to her feet.

“There isn’t a world in which you and I don’t end up together, Alcee. It’s meant to be.”

“I think so too,” she wound her arms around his neck and pressed herself against him. “Today was incredibly special. I didn’t think I would like. being the center of attention but there is something to be said about basking in the love of my family.”

“Your mother was very weepy.” He grimaced.

“Did you hear what Antero said to her when we were at the restaurant for our reception?” she giggled back.

“No. What did he say?”

“I introduced him to Mercurio and explained Mercurio was my brother, and she was our mother. She started blubbering about how she was his nonna and was crying. He looked her right in the face and said his nonna’s name was Brunella and just because she was my mother didn’t make her his nonna. He said the title gets earned.”

“He did not! Where was 1 for this?”

“Talking to Genevra and Karolos.”

“Whew,” he blew out a puff of air, “Antero not taking any prisoners.”

“Nope. I was proud of him. Mercurio shook his hand and said he looked forward to the day he could earn the title of uncle and Antero shrugged and walked away.” She tried to pretend she wasn’t distracted by the way his fingers were nimbly unbuttoning her wedding dress behind her. “What was the heated conversation with Karolos?”

“Kylen cornered Genevra coming out of the bathroom at the restaurant where we eating. Asked her what the fuck she was doing with a man twice

“He did not.”

“She said she preferred the term sugar–baby.” Torq was pressing his lips together trying to hold back his laughter, “Karolos wanted to shoot him in the head. I asked him to not do such a thing and said once they were in Greece it wouldn’t be a problem anyway. Karolos felt it highly disrespectful, and I couldn’t disagree. I sent Kylen home and told him we’d talk Monday in the office but suggested he refrain from contacting Genevra again.”
