Cameron nodded. “It’s not bad.”

Sienna added enviously, “You’re amazing to buy a car at such a young age.” She glanced at Cameron tentatively. “Is your family wealthy?” Otherwise, Cameron wouldn’t afford such an expensive car.

Cameron turned the steering wheel. “I used my own money.”

“Your own money?” Sienna exclaimed, shocked.

The car cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, which was much beyond a college student could afford.

Cameron explained, “I got a scholarship for my SAT scores and work part–time at a pharmaceutical company.”

“Pharmaceutical company?” Sienna’s eyes lit up.

Cameron nodded. “It’s a new company.”

Sienna blurted out, “Are they hiring?” Then she winced at her own abruptness. “Sorry, I don’t mean to ask you to recommend me—I was just curious.”

“Sure,” Cameron said after a moment’s pause.

“What?” Sienna turned to her in surprise.

Cameron said, “I can recommend you for a part–time position if you’re interested.”

“Really?” Sienna beamed. Working at a pharmaceutical company aligned with her post–graduation goals–this was a stroke of luck.

Cameron nodded.

“Thank you so much, Cameron!” Sienna exclaimed, nearly hugging her before reminding herself that Cameron was driving.

Back at school, Cameron called David about Sienna’s part–time job. He agreed without hesitation.

As she headed for her dorm, Cameron received a call from Noir Éclat. They informed her The Starry collection would launch in a week, with a pre–launch
