Chapter 563
Chapter 563
Because Milena was the one Martin adored, she could snuggle into his arms or perch on his lap, playing sweet and coy while he looked at her the the was
his whole world.
But little Cameron could only stand off to the side, watching with envy. She never knew what it felt like to be held by her father, and now, she was finally feeling it.
It turned out that a father’s embrace was warm and safe.
All the emptiness from her childhood was filled in an instant, right at the moment when Levi hugged her and gently ruffled her hair.
A soft mist welled up in her eyes, and without thinking, she held onto Levi’s shirt.
She finally had parents who loved her. For the first time, she was someone’s daughter in every sense of the word. And it felt… wonderful
Jacqueline watched the father and daughter hugging, smiling through her tears, feeling happier than ever.
For a moment there, they actually looked more like father and son.
After holding on for a while, Levi finally let go of Cameron, clearly reluctant. After all, his daughter was all grown up now, and as her father, he had to keep his distance.
“Cam, come here. Let your brother get a hug too,” Lance said, already stretching out his arms.
Cameron laughed and gave him a quick hug.
“Wait a moment. I still don’t know what it’s like to hug my little sister,” Lance said, refusing to let go.
Cameron patted him hard on the back. “You feel that? Logan, I’m not some soft little girl who likes pink color, you know.”
Lance coughed, feeling like his lungs were about to be knocked loose.
Cameron let go, still smiling. “Logan, you’re kind of weak, huh?”
Lance was rendered speechless.
Levi shook his head. “Lance, seriously? My precious daughter gave you a gentle pat and you’re out here coughing like she knocked the wind out of you?”
Jacqueline chimed in, “Logan, you really need to work out more. Cam’s a girl, you know.”
Lance had no words. He just thought, ‘If only they knew her hand hits harder than a sledgehammer.’
As soon as Cameron let go of Lance, Gavin rushed over with open arms. “Cam, can I get a hug too?”
Cameron shot him a look. “No.”
Gavin was stunned. “What?”
He couldn’t believe he got rejected when everyone else got a hug from Cameron.
Gavin stared at Cameron in disbelief. “Why not?”
“I don’t want to,” Cameron said bluntly.
Gavin was stunned. He stood there, completely frozen.
Meanwhile, Levi, Jacqueline, and Lance all looked a bit surprised.

But thinking about how Gavin had acted since Cameron came back, her turning him down actually made sense.
Jacqueline gently pulled Cameron close, clearly siding with her. “Sweetheart, if you don’t want to hug him, that’s perfectly fine. We’ll just ignore him.”
Levi glared at Gavin. “Why are you still standing here? Can’t you see my precious girl doesn’t want to see you?”
Lance chimed in, “Gavin, aren’t you super busy? You even went on a business trip when Cam came home. Go get back to work and earn your precious
money.”
