Chapter 550
But just now, Cameron had kicked both Austin and Bradley out.
Which meant, to her, he and Bradley weighed the same.
‘Why?‘ Austin couldn’t figure it out.
Bradley let out a soft chuckle. “You really think I’m the one closest to Cameron?”
The elevator arrived.
Neither of them moved.
Austin crossed his arms. “Bradley, let’s not pretend. You got kicked out just like I did.”
Bradley raised an eyebrow. “Is that so?”
His phone buzzed. He pulled it out, glanced at the screen, and then turned it toward Austin with a faint smile. “Wanna take a look?”
Austin leaned in instinctively–and the moment he saw it, his face darkened.
On the screen was a message from Cameron. Cameron: [Come back.]
His expression shifted instantly.
So she hadn’t kicked them both out.
She’d only kicked him out.
Austin’s face went dark, jaw tightening.
Bradley calmly reached over and pressed the elevator door open again. “See ya.”
Watching the smug look on Bradley’s face, a wave of fury surged through Austin.
‘Really? Cameron has chosen Bradley? Over me?‘
They’d been through life–and–death together. He was the one person who had stood by her, no matter what
And now–what was he? A guest to be dismissed? A name below Xander’s, Elijah’s, and Bradley’s?
He felt like a joke, And Bradley? Bradley looked like he was enjoying the show.
With cold, simmering anger, Austin stepped into the elevator.
Vincent gave Bradley a warning look as he followed. The four bodyguards flanked Austin as if escorting royalty.
Inside, Austin stared Bradley down until the doors closed between them.
Bradley stood in the hallway, a slight smile on his lips. Behind the glasses, his gaze was sharp and unreadable.”
‘So… he thinks this is a competition? A fight over Cameron? Let’s see,’ Bradley thought. ‘Let’s see how this plays out.
He turned back to the door and knocked.
Cameron answered.

They sat together on the couch.
Cameron didn’t bother with small talk. “What did you want to talk about?”
Bradley nodded once. “Cameron, first, I need to tell you something.”
She gave him a look. “Go ahead.”
“Austin saw the message you sent me,” Bradley said. “The one where you asked me to come back. He didn’t take it well.”
Cameron didn’t react.
Bradley added, “That’s on me. I showed it to him.”
Cameron didn’t react.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I didn’t mean to cause trouble for you.”
.Cameron finally gave a small wave of her hand. “It’s fine. Really. Brad, what did you want to talk about?”
Bradley shifted slightly closer. “Are you sure your stomach’s just upset? Because earlier–I caught a trace of blood.”
