After all, he had undergone professional on-set training.
Seeing that Cassius's posture actually looked somewhat proper, Remington carefully handed Joy over.
Cassius crossed his legs, letting Joy straddle his knee. He wrapped one arm securely around the baby's back to keep him steady, while gently poking the little guy's cheek with his free hand.
"Joy, if you don't like 'Handsome Uncle,' let's try something else. Let's hear you say 'Godfather.' Come on, be a good boy. God-fa-ther!"
Lizetta poured a glass of water and walked back over, just in time to catch him demanding to be called Godfather.
She strongly suspected he had overheard Yolanda claiming the title of Godmother earlier, and was now selfishly crowning himself Godfather to match.
Setting the glass down, she shot Remington a questioning look.
"When exactly did Joy get a godfather?"
Remington immediately shook his head. "I have no idea. Don't worry, I would never assign our son a godfather without your approval."
Cassius, already fully accustomed to Remington's new persona as a whipped husband, looked at Lizetta.
"Lizetta, look at me. I'm the second son of the Sterling family, the youngest actor to win the Triple Crown, and multitalented. Plus, I'm eventually going to inherit a dozen massive theme parks. Surely I'm more than qualified to be Joy's godfather, right?"
His maternal family specialized in colossal entertainment complexes, holding shares in major theme parks across nearly every city in the country.
Since his mother was an only child, his claim about inheriting over a dozen amusement parks was actually a hard fact.
Before Lizetta could even respond, Remington scoffed.
"Does my son look like he lacks places to play? I can just build him a few theme parks myself. He doesn't need some random godfather."
Unfazed by Remington tearing down his pitch, Cassius continued to playfully tickle Joy.
