"Let's go inside. Don't worry, an airtight net has already been cast over Zion City. The second they poke their heads out, we'll snag them."
Jerome patted Lizetta's shoulder gently. She looked up at him, forcing a reassuring smile, and nodded.
Lizetta received the blood sample the very next evening.
She was sitting in the living room, carefully folding the tiny new clothes she had prepared for him.
She had urgently contacted several premium boutiques to deliver them, washing and drying each piece herself before neatly folding them.
The butler hurried in from outside, his footsteps noticeably more frantic than usual.
Jerome instantly stood up, taking quick strides to meet him.
The butler rushed forward, clutching a small shipping box. "A package just arrived for Lizetta."
"Quick! Give it to me," Nelson ordered sharply.
Lizetta dropped the tiny shirt in her hands, her eyes locking onto the cardboard box.
The butler carefully placed it on the coffee table as a maid rushed over with a box cutter.
Nelson reached for the knife, but Jerome quickly intercepted him, mindful of any potential traps.
"Let me handle this, Nelson."
He glanced at Lizetta, who immediately linked arms with her grandfather.
"Let Jerome open it," she urged softly.
She guided Nelson a few steps back; after all, Eartha was a viciously cruel woman, and they couldn't afford to be careless.
Jerome sliced the tape and pulled out a small lockbox. Upon popping it open, they found a secure ice pack cushioning a single vial of blood.
He let out a long breath and gave Lizetta and Nelson a firm nod.
Lizetta rushed forward, practically snatching the vial. She cradled it delicately against her chest, her eyes instantly burning with hot tears.
