Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 1023

For a fleeting moment, Liz felt as though she was looking at a little angel.

She didn't even want to blink. Unconsciously, her eyes curved into a sweet smile for Ron, and she leaned down to press a soft kiss against his plump cheek.

Just then, the masculine arm firmly wrapped around her waist tightened.

Liz was pulled backward, nesting deeper into Remington's embrace until their bodies were pressed flush against each other.

"Me too."

Remington's low, raspy morning voice rumbled right next to her ear.

He meant he wanted a kiss, too.

Liz distinctly remembered that when they went to sleep, Ron was between them. She had no idea when Remington had managed to maneuver himself behind her back.

Turning her head slightly, Liz placed a light, quick kiss on his chin.

Overnight, a faint shadow of stubble had appeared on his jawline, tickling her lips.

Feigning a little disdain, she pulled away the second her lips touched his skin.

The sweet-smelling, soft little Ron in her arms was infinitely more kissable. Kissing him felt like tasting a fluffy marshmallow.

So, Liz lowered her head again and gave Ron two big, emphatic smooches.

Ron was thrilled. He clearly loved the affection, giggling adorably and burrowing his little face into Liz's chest as if he were shy.

His drool ended up all over her, soaking through the thin silk of her nightgown right at her chest.

Remington propped himself up slightly. From his vantage point behind her, the resulting view was quite revealing.

Seeing Ron still nuzzling enthusiastically into Liz's embrace, the handsome man's expression instantly darkened.

Over the past twenty-four hours, Liz had already paid far more attention to the baby than to him.

And now, waking up, she was still prioritizing this little creature. She had completely ignored the fact that this was their first time sharing a bed again since their reunion.

They were finally waking up in each other's arms in the morning light, and Liz was completely oblivious to the romance of it all.

Not to mention, she had given him a dismissive peck but showered Ron with kisses.

"What are you doing now? Stop—mph."

Her panicked question was cut short as his lips crashed down on hers, his breath scorching hot.

At the same time, he blindly reached back, grabbed the discarded duvet, and threw it over both of their heads.

The light was blocked out, and the space became intimately confined.

The commotion underneath, however, only grew louder.

By the time Liz finally emerged from the master bedroom, a full hour had passed. The second she opened her door, she heard loud, frantic banging coming from the room across the hall.

Startled, Liz turned to look at the man trailing behind her, now impeccably dressed in a sharp suit.

His expression held a thoroughly satisfied, almost post-coital glow, making him look even more devastatingly handsome and vibrant than usual.

Remembering their intense intimacy under the covers just moments ago, Liz quickly averted her gaze, unable to meet his eyes. Pointing at the opposite door, she asked,

"What's going on? Is Stella stuck in there?"
