Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5581

Laurence glanced at his watch, stood up, and said, "Uncle Tony, I only came by to check on your moving progress. Since there's nothing else, I'll head back now."

Noelle stood too.

Tony and the others hurried to their feet to see them off. They escorted Laurence and Noelle out of the house and watched as they got into their car. Only after the car had disappeared from sight did Tony lead his family back inside.

Once they were seated again, he stared at his family and said sternly, "All of you, listen carefully. No matter how much you hate Laurence, you must show him and Noelle the utmost respect whenever you see them from now on."

Roxy was the first to object. "Grandpa, I can't accept this!"

"And what will that change? Will your refusal make any difference? Laurence is now the head of the Longbottom family. All the elites answer to him. If you dare disrespect him, he truly will punish you under the family rules.

"He won't show any mercy. He already made you apologize in front of everyone simply because you glared at Noelle. If you hadn't backed down, he would've had an even better excuse to come after us.

"He's hoping that you disrespect him. Right now, he needs a legitimate reason. He needs us to make a mistake. Only then can he deal with us openly with the rules on his side. So even if it's all just an act, you must still treat them respectfully."

Tony turned to the rest of his children and grandchildren, saying, "You all heard what Laurence said. If you took and sold any of the decorations in this house, find a way to buy back the genuine pieces. Get them back no matter what it takes or how much you have to spend.

"Don't wait for him to investigate. If he discovers what you've done and takes you to the police station, not even I will be able to save you."

He cursed under his breath. "Laurence is ruthless. He's even more ruthless than his father was. He doesn't care about family ties at all."
