Caroline looked at Adrian and said, “You’d have better done nothing. I’m busy, and Mom isn’t in Jensburg. I don’t have the time to clean up your mess if you’ve stirred up trouble.”
“No. I didn’t. I’ve been working or going to my mother-in-law’s place to argue with Emma. I don’t have time to be a troublemaker. Besides, I’m an adult. I can lie in the bed I make. I wouldn’t dare to let you do it for me.”
“That’s great. You can go back to work. I’m heading out now.”
Caroline got up and walked away from her desk.
The siblings left the office together.
Adrian had wanted to pry into what Caroline was going to do outside. He could not obtain any information but her tight lips.
After entering the elevator, Caroline stood upright in front of him in her suit. She gave off an intimidating aura.
Adrian cursed mentally but kept a smile on his face.
The doors opened when the elevator arrived on his floor.
Adrian exited the elevator.
When he was passing by his secretary’s desk, he stopped and approached her. The secretary looked at him.
“Ask Caroline’s secretary what Caroline’s doing outside.”
The secretary replied, “Ms. Caroline’s secretary is tight-lipped. She won’t expose her schedule easily. Since you’re Ms. Caroline’s brother, why don’t you ask her yourself?”
Adrian was rendered speechless for a moment. “Forget it,” he said.
He passed the document Caroline had signed and stamped to her and said, “Caroline has approved this document.”
It was supposed to be his secretary’s job, but he did it himself to pry information from Caroline.
He knew Caroline and Liberty had been contacting each other in private.
Unfortunately, he did not have the right to be the heir of the Fisher family.
After returning to his office, Adrian sat deep in thought for a moment before calling the two young female drivers.
He asked them what happened afterward and found out that they had left Fortress Hotel after apologizing to Liberty.
Liberty also left in her car.
She did not seem to be suspicious of anything.
With that thought, Adrian felt a little relieved.
‘So what if she suspects me? I don’t care if she has evidence.’
He simply wanted Liberty to die and did not care about anything else. She could retaliate all she wanted.
