Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3032

Camryn politely refused the glass of red wine. “I still have to take medication daily, so I can’t drink. I have to mind my diet too.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know.”

Tasha hurriedly apologized. “I’ll drink it, then.”

“Tasha, you’re being such a suck-up.”

Sally’s slightly nasally voice cut in.

She still could not suppress the envy she felt for Camryn. When she saw the two sitting together and eating, she walked over to them with a glass of red wine in hand and happened to hear the exchange.

Her acerbic words did not seem to have been filtered through her brain before being said.

“You can’t drink, Ms. Newman? How do you usually network and strike deals, then? You can’t be relying on your looks.

“Oh, that’s right. Ms. Newman has a good figure, good looks, and she's so gentle. Men would melt at the very sight—there aren’t any deals that can’t be cinched then.”

The moment Sally finished speaking, Camryn and Tasha splashed their red wine at Sally almost at the same time.

Sally did not manage to dodge and wine was all over her face and her white gown. She looked miserable in an instant.

She could not help but scream, which immediately attracted everyone’s attention.

Carrie turned around, saw this scene, and surrounded them with the others.

Mr. Longbottom had instructed her not to target Camryn when she saw her tonight. If she encountered Camryn being bullied, she even had to stand up for her.

After all, this was the House’s residence.

Camryn stood up and said coldly, “You slandered me and insulted my character. I’ve already given Mrs. Abrams due consideration in not slapping you right across the face. So what if I splashed red wine at you? Who told you to have such a stinky mouth? You’d better wash that stinky mouth of yours out well.”

Mrs. Abrams was a generous, decent person. Ms. Abrams had seemed fine at first too, but one really could not judge a book by its cover.

When Tasha took her to greet Sally and introduce them to each other, Sally ignored her.

Camryn knew Sally did not want to connect with her and smartly walked away.

Unexpectedly, this woman came looking for her, spoke sarcastically to insult her character, and made it sound like she relied on her beauty to cinch deals.

It was already very generous of her not to give her a tight slap.
