Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3003

After thinking about it, Carrie said, “You’re right. Camryn already heard my voice. I’ll definitely meet her again. She’ll find me suspicious if she notices a change in my voice.

“She’s suspecting me now, right? But how did Serenity notice?

“I only met her a few times.”

Mr. Longbottom glanced at her and said, “She has a good memory.”

Carrie went silent.

Camryn had a good memory too.

That was what she had relied on to survive ten years of blindness.

“Your blind sister…”

“She’s not blind anymore, Mr. Longbottom. She already regained her sight. Callum hired some legendary doctor’s student to heal her.”

She added angrily, “Why is she so lucky?”

When Callum started getting closer to Camryn, she was still blind. Yet, he never thought of giving up because of that.

Amy and Brenda even went to Wildridge Manor to meet Rosella. They said Camryn was not good enough for Callum because she was blind.

Rosella returned an aggressive remark. She said a missus of the Yorks did not have to do anything except spend money.

It angered Amy and Brenda. They were jealous but dared not cause a scene in the Yorks’ residence.

Now that Camryn could see again and had legally married Callum, her position in the York family was more stable.

Was Camryn not going to attend tomorrow night’s banquet with Rosella?

Mr. Longbottom pressed his lips together and kept quiet.

Indeed, Camryn was extremely lucky.

She caught Callum’s fancy, and he was the one who sought Dr. Carden’s help to heal her eyes.

Dr. Carden was also a missus of the Johnsons. If it were not for the Johnsons supporting her, Mr. Longbottom would not have needed to come up with such a troublesome plan. He needed to use Carrie to approach Serenity and obtain information on that child’s location.

Actually, Mr. Longbottom knew that Ben and Jane’s adopted son, Laurence, was the child he wanted to find.

The totem was definitely on the boy.

Mr. Longbottom had killed off most of the Longbottom core family members. However, Laurence had managed to escape. Many people were willing to run with him in their arms and sacrifice themselves for his safety.

Mr. Longbottom did not believe that they were protecting the previous family head’s child. They were most likely trying to hide the totem. Without it, even if he killed all of them, he could not harness the true power of the Longbottoms.
