Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2946

Celine stopped crying after a while. She stood up and counted the money. It was precisely two thousand dollars.

In the past, she would have scoffed at that amount of money.

Fast forward to the present, two thousand dollars had become her accommodation and meal allowance for the month.

Celine was in an even worse state than Carrie, who was in Wiltspoon.

Even if Carrie did not have Mr. Longbottom’s aid, she still had a brother giving her some living expenses monthly. She would never go hungry.

On the other hand, Celine had no one to rely on.

However, she refused to leave Jensburg just like that.

She wanted revenge against her sisters-in-law.

The three Fisher brothers had taken after Hunter’s flirtatiousness and took a fancy to have affairs.

Celine knew their preferences and personalities well. More importantly, they still loved her. They would definitely grovel at her feet once she tried seducing them.

She would make them enamored with her to make their wives angry.

She was no longer a clean woman anyway.

She was also not a child of the Fisher family anymore and was unrelated to the three brothers.

As long as the Fisher brothers gave her money and sustained her, she cared about nothing else besides angering her sisters-in-law.

The desperate Celine left the hospital.

Standing by the window, Caroline witnessed the entire scene where Celine chased after Belinda. She also heard Celine’s sobs.

A sneer appeared when she saw Belinda leaving Celine behind after instructing the bodyguards to give her two thousand dollars.

“I don’t think Celine has given up yet. She might be up to something.”

Darren spoke as he stood beside Caroline and observed her reaction.

Caroline did not turn to face him, but she agreed with him. She said, “The only people she can turn to are her three brothers. I want to see how bold they can get for a woman.

Darren smiled and changed the topic. He asked, “Do you believe what Hunter said about Madam Fisher just now?”

“Whether I believe it or not, it happened when my mom was young. Who doesn’t have a few crushes back in their youth? Even I had a crush on a guy when I was a student.”

It simply ended fruitlessly.

Most relationships formed when one was a student, especially during middle and high schools, would naturally end when graduation came.

Darren’s eyes flashed. “The guy you liked back then… Is he married already?”

“Yes. He got married early. His second child is old enough to run errands now. I think he had children before he even graduated from university. His wife took a break from school to take care of the baby.”

Darren was relieved upon hearing that her old crush was married and became a father.

“They even invited me to their wedding as a bridesmaid. I witnessed the boy I had a crush on attaining his happiness. I thought it was a good ending, and I’ve let go of my feelings since then.”

Caroline never liked anyone else from then on.
