Serenity felt it too.
Only Jasmine had not interacted with Carrie before and only knew of her name, so she felt nothing.
“Let’s talk about it in the store. It’s cold out here. The rain is merely a drizzle, but it still feels cold.”
Serenity held Camryn’s arm and pulled Jasmine along. The three of them returned to the cashier and sat down.
“I’ll pour a cup of water for you two. My mouth feels dry after eating the gingersnaps from Mr. Charles. It tastes good, and I crave it more the more I eat,” Jasmine said as she went to get some water.
Serenity smiled and helped Camryn to sit. Camryn said, “Seren, I can see.”
Back when she was still blind, she could move around freely in familiar surroundings.
Callum knew she needed to be in a familiar place to move freely like the others, so he kept ordering from Spring Blossoms and requested her to deliver the flowers to York Corporation.
She thought he was deliberately making things difficult for her.
Later, Callum explained that he had always treated her as his future wife, so he wanted her to get familiar with the route to find him and blend into his world. That was why he kept calling her flower shop, well knowing she could only act naturally in a familiar surrounding.
“You haven’t recovered completely, and as your family and friend, I have to take good care of you whenever you’re with me. If not, Callum would hold me accountable, or even worse, he might stop you from coming to hang out with me again.”
Camryn said, “If he dares to do that, I will pinch his ear.”
Serenity giggled. “Have you ever pinched his ears?”
“He didn’t piss me off. Why would I do that? Have you pinched Zachary’s ear?” Jasmine questioned back.
Serenity chuckled. “We’re talking about pinching our husband’s ears.”
Jasmine was speechless. “I was wondering what you two are chatting happily about. We are reasonable women who won’t do things like that. You don’t need to laugh so loud. Neither of you have done it before.”
Camryn snickered, “Yeah, that’s right. We are all reasonable people. Seren, you said you also felt a sense of familiarity with the woman who left just now?”
“It was not her first time here. She came yesterday to buy reference books as well. At that time, I thought her figure was familiar, and I felt like I knew her. But I don’t recognize her face. I even asked Zachary, but he said he never paid attention to young women, so he doesn’t know if there’s someone like that in our circle.”
“I can’t recall who she reminded me of either. Camryn, who do you think she feels like?” Serenity asked.
