“Will, what can I do now?”

Knowing that Will acknowledged him, Julian regarded Will as an ally and could not help but ask for guidance.

Will answered, “You can either stay here and watch, or you can go back and help my mom cook. Anyway, you don’t need to worry about what Quinn is doing. She’ll come back in the evening, and after she returns, the two of you can have a good talk.

“You just need to make her believe that your feelings for her are sincere.”

Julian said, “I understand. Thank you, Will. I’ll go back and help with the cooking.”

Appealing to the future mother-in-law was the battle half won.

Zoey went back to the kitchen while talking.

“How come you’re the only one who came back? What about your brothers?”

Quinn then said, “Well, maybe it’s irregular this month. Mom, I’ll go upstairs first.”

Afraid of her mother seeing through her lie, Quinn quickly went upstairs.

She closed the door and sat quietly by herself.

Then she went to the bed, looking at the ceiling, she muttered to herself, “Julian said he fell in love with me at first sight, that his liking for me is a man’s love for a woman. He said he wanted to marry me. Why do I feel like I’m dreaming? Me, Quinn Crawford, being liked by a man?

Quinn did not have high expectations for romantic relationships, mainly because she had been arranged for numerous blind dates by her mother, all ending with the other party standing her up. They would just see her as one of their buddies.
